We had the good fortune of connecting with Mabel C Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mabel C, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I did not intentionally plan this – it sort of happened! I’ve always been really interested in being a sort of catalyst for people and their path to self-healing and played with different ideas on how I could do that, then BOOM! … it happened.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have always been drawn to (and fascinated by) the world of crystals, metaphysics, tarot, aromatherapy, astrology, etc. For several years, I would receive comments from various people (friends and strangers) that they have always felt comfortable around me. Comfortable enough to tell me things they would not tell anyone else. They would ask me for guidance and I always turned to what I learned. I offered readings (akashic records and intuitive), I offered some insight as to their astrology chart and which crystal could be used to assist them. Then, I got into making my own soaps, room sprays, candles, perfume oils, etc., adding crystals to some of my products and as one thing led to another, my love for helping people grew into a “business.” I now sell a plethora of crystals, offer consultations and use the information I have gathered to assist each person I come into contact with, on their path to self-healing. I am first and foremost, a soul still learning how to flow and manage. I use my current skills and the information I gather from others to share knowledge with my patrons, always coming from an open heart and genuine desire to be of service. On this “business” path of mine, I have helped people who have been on the brink of desperation, find value within themselves by way of validation. When I realized how many of us (adults) are walking this Earth as broken/hurt children who were not seen or heard, I innately felt compelled to be someone you’d feel safe expressing your pain to. I researched many homeopathic, metaphysical, etc., methods which would allow me to be a catalyst. I manifested the perfect life coach/mentor and healer who have guided me deeper into my gift. Doing this has been one of the easiest things I have ever done – it was extremely organic and felt as though I had finally come into my own. The only challenges I face are those within myself and continuously learning how to adjust time between my Monday – Friday full time job and being a full time mama. In a very short time, I learned how to listen to my intuition more because it’s led me here and being present “here” has been a very fulfilling experience. The goal with my “brand” is to create a community wherein others believe this is also possible for them and that is what I think separates me from others.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I cannot really say since my best friend lives here and I’d rather stay indoors these days due to CoVid. I would have her come over and order delivery from a couple of local restaurants while we take virtual tours of places we cannot visit. 🙂
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Every soul I have re-encountered in this lifetime has facilitated my growth on this path I’m on. I’m too inclusive of a person to single anyone out, so I dedicate where I am to everyone, including you (the reader).
