Meet Mandie B. | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mandie B. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mandie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting a photography business in 2020, despite its challenges, was inspired by many factors.
Passion for Photography: I had a deep love for photography and desired to turn that passion into a professional business.
Creativity and Expression: Photography is a medium for creative expression and storytelling. Starting a business allowed me to share my unique vision with the world and create meaningful art.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: I was drawn to entrepreneurship and the opportunity to build something of my own. Starting a photography business in 2020 was as a chance to pursue independence and create a career on my own terms.
Adaptability and Innovation: Despite the challenges posed by external factors like the COVID-19 pandemic, starting a photography business in 2020 inspired creativity and innovation. I found a way connect with clients, friends and family.
Personal Growth and Fulfillment: Starting a photography business was a journey of personal growth and fulfillment. It offered the opportunity to develop new skills, overcome obstacles, and create a career aligned with my values and interests. It allowed me to connect with other moms, make new friends and catch up with old friends!
Overall, the inspiration for starting a photography business in 2020 started as an escape from what was our Covid reality and it turned into a full time career!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets my work apart is my unique perspective and artistic vision. I strive to capture the essence of my subjects and tell compelling stories through my images. Whether it’s capturing the beauty of landscapes, the intimacy of family moments, or the energy of events, I approach each project with creativity and passion.
One aspect I’m particularly proud of is my ability to connect with my clients and understand their vision. Building strong relationships and trust with my clients allows me to deliver photos that exceed their expectations and truly resonate with them.
My journey to where I am today professionally has been a challenging but rewarding one. It hasn’t always been easy, and I’ve faced obstacles along the way. However, I’ve learned to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation. I’ve overcome obstacles by staying adaptable, continuously learning and improving my craft, and seeking support and mentorship from fellow photographers and industry professionals.
Some of the most important lessons I’ve learned along the way include the importance of perseverance, resilience, and staying true to my artistic vision. I’ve also learned the value of collaboration and community within the photography industry.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I’m deeply passionate about storytelling through photography. I believe that every moment is worth capturing and that photography has the power to evoke emotion, inspire, and create lasting memories. I’m committed to delivering exceptional work and creating meaningful experiences for my clients, and I’m excited to continue sharing my art with Miami and the world!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family, for having my back and being support! My boys, whom I have sacrificed a lot of time away from to work on my business but always greet me with hugs and a smile. My friends for always pushing me to not give up! Above all, God.
