We had the good fortune of connecting with Marcia Craggett and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marcia, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
A difficult decision that I had to make was during covid. I was in the process of renting a space, but had to make the decision to step back, at least until the future of the economy was on stable ground. I didn’t want to look like a failure to others, but I also wrestled with the thought that I didn’t believe in myself. This turned out to be the best decision for me, because my business started to slow down and maintaining a brick and mortar would have caused a huge financial strain.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m the proud owner of She Fly Tho LLC. In 2015, I began blogging under the alias “The Undercover Fashionista” as an effort to help me heal while on a journey of self-love; sharing stories about my personal growth and my passion for fashion. Inspired by my sense of style, followers requested my expertise for amping up their personal style and my work expanded into assisting with celebrity photoshoots, branding projects, and more.

I say this with all the appreciation in the world, but entrepreneurship is an EXTREMELY rocky road. My blog started out as a form of self-expression, not a business. And while I had an undergraduate degree in Marketing, I was ten years removed from my studies when I became an entrepreneur. I had to relearn how to manage, scale, and promote a business. Honestly, I’m still learning, still hitting a bump in the road here and there, but my work is incredibly rewarding.

I just want people to know that She Fly Tho is More than giving style advice, I provide a safe space to be vulnerable. I see style as a tool to help my clients confront and work through their insecurities and build self-esteem. And that’s my mission across the board, not just with clients, but on social media and in my everyday life. As someone who’s had her own issues with self love and acceptance, I want to radiate positivity and show people how to embrace and rock the skin they’re in.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I am a history lover and Cleveland has a bunch of amazing museums where you can discover our rich history in fashion. I would also show them the little shops around the Tremont and Lakewood area. Maybe a boat ride around the flats. We would definitely get some thrifting in as well.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out my Mom and sisters. They are the people that motivate me to continue on this path. When times get hard and I look to them for their words of wisdom.
