We had the good fortune of connecting with Margarita Padilla and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Margarita, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Doing what I do today was a completely unexpected turn in my life. I always like to try new things and this was one of them. Money comes and goes, I rather try something than wishing I’d try it. Ironically, I’ve always said that I don’t know how I would ever do lashes nor have the patience for it yet here I am. I took the course and the trainer asked me how long I’ve been lashing when really it was my first time ever so that pushed me to see what I can do with more experience.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started my brand unexpectedly, I’m open to trying new things so I took a lash course and it turns out I love everything about it. I give 100% into everything I do so I decided to put my all into this new venture. Months after taking my course I rented a suite to start providing services… I was so nervous but excited at the same time. I had no clientele, no idea how I was going to make it through but I was determined, had my goals aligned and I was ready for any obstacles that came my way.. I had a small savings accounts at the time just in case. With just 2 clients a week I can cover my rent for that week and I repeated the same for the following weeks to come. Since I was a little girl, I’ve always found ways to make my money for chips, pizza, soda with online printable drawings that I would color in and sell for $1 just to get my afterschool snacks… crazy right?

Months after, I moved into a bigger space thanks to our amazing growth and clients. I entered a global lash award and took home a finalist award which I’m so grateful for. I take pride in what I do, the work I create and the beautiful friendships I’ve created with my amazing clients. I wouldn’t want it any other way. I specialize in natural styles that best enhance my clients face and their reaction is priceless not to mention the retention and longevity of my work.

I’ve started my own product line to help other lash artists get quality products without breaking their pockets. I’ve been testing products for almost 2 years to make sure I provide not only the best but most effective products out there.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A beach day and dinner. Miami is all about the water and food. I’d take her to adult arcades (I’m a child at heart) I enjoy outdoor activities
