We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Belen Lanza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria Belen, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
In my case, I try to translate to my clients certain confidence and as I always tell them is that I’m not building just a “house”, I’m creating a place where they will call it home and will create many beautiful memories, to think that in a way I’m part of that I feel kind of honored.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What makes me more proud is that I can be able to visualize exactly what my clients want, from how many meters they want in a room and even the last detail once we finish the build. To be woman in this type of business it is not easy at all, since you have to demonstrate that you really know what you are talking about and that you are not just someone that decides the “nice” home decors, in the contrary, you kind of decide the most important things of the home.
I learned to listen to my clients and to interpret their wishes.
I want people to know that you do not have to spend a lot of money to create such a beautiful and cozy home.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When in the US , I would spend my evenings on the beach and to have dinner in Rusty Pelican. Then, the rest of the free time I would tell her/him to relax in my cozy beach house.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I owe it all to my family, my husband and my two children, since the all believed in me from the first second that I started with this project, to be honest, none of this would have happened without them, so I will be forever grateful for them.
