We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Camila Restrepo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria Camila, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
someone who faced challenges with courage and perseverance, yet remained authentic and compassionate. Strength, for me, is not just about endurance but about growing through adversity and using those experiences to fuel my passion and creativity. It’s this inner strength that I bring to every role and every project, and it’s the legacy I hope to leave behind.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One of the most defining moments in my path was navigating a personal breakup while continuing to work professionally alongside my former partner within the same industry. It was a season that demanded emotional strength, focus, and grace under pressure.

Despite the personal challenges, I remained committed to my growth. I embraced the opportunity to learn, to lead, and to expand my career not only as an actress but also through directing and production. These experiences pushed me beyond my comfort zone and shaped me into a more grounded, versatile artist.

Professionally, I’m proud of my resilience, my willingness to evolve, and my dedication to telling meaningful stories. My journey hasn’t been linear, but it has been intentional. I want the world to know that I stand for creativity with integrity, passion with discipline, and storytelling that reflects both vulnerability and strength. Along with my Business my Jewelry Business which I started two years ago and which I was inspired by my aunt that has been in the industry for more than 30 years. She is truly my inspiration in this business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take her around Midtown to have Dinner there’s this Rooftop Restaurant that i enjoy sunset and Dinner Rosa Sky. Pompano beach pier I like the beach there because of is clean beaches and wyndwood for night life

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to someone who has played a pivotal role in my growth as an actress my acting coach and mentor, Ruben Morales.

Ruben has not only believed in my potential, but has also given me incredible opportunities to expand my career from casting me in meaningful projects to trusting me enough to assist him in directing. I’ve also had the joy of working alongside him in production, an experience that has taught me so much of what I know today and continues to build my confidence in this industry.

His mentorship has been a masterclass in artistry, discipline, and passion. He’s poured wisdom, encouragement, and trust into me at every step, and I’m truly grateful for how he’s helped shape my path. I carry his guidance with me in every scene, every set, and every new challenge I take on.
