We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Facey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria, how does your business help the community?
My business helps small brands get started with a bold first impression. My logos create the face of their business and what they stand for.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I got to where I am today through persistence and motivation. It has not been easy and it still isn’t easy. I have overcome the challenges by having hope and believing in myself and my worth. I’ve learned that everything is a learning experience and it was all meant to be. I want the world to know that it’s possible to do what you love and make a name for yourself and what you do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When people come to visit I love to go to the beach and try new foods. The beach is always so pretty especially at sunset. I like to explore the city as well and find interesting places to eat. My favorite is finding the perfect dessert!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Vice City Exotic Bullies. This company was one of the first to reach out to me regarding a logo for their dog breeding. Their logo was also one of my favorites to develop and bring to life.
