We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariana Weber and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mariana, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
This is a GREAT question!

I feel that adopting healthy and positive habits in your life truly depicts your success rate personally and professionally.

For me, my success recipe has all the elements of self-care, and these are my habits:

1) Wake up every morning with gratitude. Say at least 20 or more affirmations (positive statements) out loud and truly feel and believe the words that you are voicing. Doing this automatically boosts your positivity and increases your confidence, self-esteem, and encourages you to have an optimistic mindset. When you begin your day feeling happy and motivated, you are more likely to produce greater results.

2) Exercise daily no matter how I feel. This is when your discipline kicks in – when you can convince your mind that no matter how tired or overwhelmed you might be, you show up and you work out because your body is the only body that you get in this lifetime, and you must take care of it properly. Working out not only promotes your happiness, helps you look and feel fit, but also opens your mind to new possibilities as you feel more motivated after every energizing training session.

3) Maintain good relationships and consistent communication with quality people. Having a strong support system is extremely important to expediting your personal and business growth. When you have a solid circle of like-minded friends/family/clients that believe in you and want you to succeed, what you end up getting are accountability partners that fuel your fire to do more. Surrounding yourself with successful people will create success in your life – you cannot grow to new financial heights, if no one around you is striving for the same.

4) Find ways to engage my critical thinking and stimulate my emotional intelligence. Whether it be reading a few pages out of a motivational book, listening to an eye-opening podcast, or participating in an educational webinar – you must open your mind to new possibilities of thinking regularly. Your brain is a muscle and learning helps you come up with new ideas which leads to new actions creating a pathway to more success.

5) Viewing failures, loss, or difficult challenges as new beginnings and reasons to create new chapters in my life. I’ve learned not to waste my energy feeling distraught over things that are out of my control and move on fast. It’s best to acknowledge the situation, accept what is so, not overact, and start creating solutions immediately. Life is a rollercoaster; you must maintain your composure and bounce back quickly to live life powerfully.

That about sums it up!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I actually got the idea of starting my business back in Los Angeles after realizing that you don’t need to work for someone else and you CAN do it on your own.

I had a few clients and things were going well but then I decided to relocate to Miami to be closer to my mother.

Starting fresh in Miami was a challenge, especially when Covid caused a lockdown which delayed my plan to move forward as a new business. To get my feet on the ground, I ended up getting short-term employment that lasted a little longer than I hoped for but that is where I met my best friend and business partner so It was truly a blessing.

The main thing that we had in common was our drive and willingness to want and create more for ourselves.

There was a phrase that I heard that stuck with me – “why work for someone else’s goals and dreams when you should be working for your own goals and dreams?” and it’s true, life is too short to do anything other than create a life best lived.

So, with patience and strategy, Kolab Solutions was created! A boutique marketing agency that provides digital marketing solutions that include copywriting, social media management, website creation, email campaigns, sales tactics and online business growth strategies. What sets us apart is how hands-on we are with our clients and our ability to turnaround projects faster than other agencies, always with a smile and a great attitude.

Now that I have been living in Miami for a few years I grew my network by meeting the right people and acquired long-time clients for the business. The best way to get new clients is to get yourself out there. Be on as many platforms as possible so you can be visible everywhere. Putting in the legwork is crucial. Attending conferences, networking events, and mixers is how we continued to grow our client base. We have had $10k months, $20k months, and sometimes $5k months, and we continue to work hard to accomplish our business goals.

One thing that I have learned is that you can’t make everyone happy and that is the biggest challenge when it comes to meeting client expectations. Never take anything personally, speak professionally, and always be the solution finder in any situation.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
These would be my suggestions:

Put Shack – Mini golf is so fun!

Miami Treetop Trekking – Dare to take the “thrill-seeker” zipline trek in Jungle Island.

River Oyster Bar – Best oysters in town.

Suger / Rosa Sky – Great rooftop spots for day-time drinks.

Sexy Fish / Gekko – Fancy night-time drinks (Gekko has a back lounge with a DJ)

Mila / Faena – Fancy dress-up dinners and dancing (Mila has karaoke on Wednesday’s)

Icon / W Hotel – Spa & pool.

Novokov / Setai – Sunday all you eat and bottomless brunch.

Wynwood – check out the art, grab some tacos from Coyo, and drink mimosas at Astra

Sail the seas – Rent a yacht from my friend Edgar for the day (LOL)

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It feels like I have lived a few lifetimes with all the chapters that I have created for myself throughout the years.

First and foremost, I have to thank Landmark Worldwide programs for dramatically improving my communication skills, outlook on life, relationships, thought process, and the ability to live life powerfully by seeing things in a different light. What I mean by that is, having the ability to process situations from both sides, not taking offence to others projections, and coming to terms with issues head on. After I learned all of Landmark’s core principles, it changed my life for the better. I can actually express myself in a way that is effective and helpful at the same time. In business, and also generally in life, if you cannot communicate properly and effectively with others, you’re in for a world of disappointments, arguments, and unhappiness.

Also, after reading Grant Cardone’s “Sell of be Sold” and the “10X Rule” I gained the confidence to take action towards achieving my goals. Those books gave me the power and motivation to go after what I wanted, and they are another reason why I was able to build success in my life.

Last but not least, my good friend Kat Moreno has been a HUGE inspiration in my life. Her willpower, determination, and drive to succeed has pushed me to never give up, follow my dreams, and stay strong in challenging times. She would say “You got this” and bring me up when times were tough and I value her more than anything.
