We had the good fortune of connecting with Marissa Navarro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marissa, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?

Hi, my name is Marissa Navarro and I’m an interior designer based in Palm Beach County. I’m a second generation Cuban-American born in Miami and raised in Broward County. Growing up, my parents completely renovated our childhood home themselves and for the 12 years that we lived there they were always finding new ways to make our space more comfortable and inviting. Watching their ideas come to life inspired me to experiment with different aesthetics and styles in my own room. Those days, I didn’t realize my love for interior design, let alone consider it a potential career path. All I knew was that I loved beautiful spaces. I guess over time it all grew on me.

It wasn’t until 2018 when my parents purchased their second home and decided to renovate it as a family project, that I finally decided to follow my heart and go to school for Interior Design. As soon as I started school, I was offered a chance to gain practical experience in the field. This was extremely valuable and beneficial for me as it allowed me to apply what I was learning in my classes to real-world situations.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a designer, I pride myself on creating timeless spaces tailored to the specific desires of my clients. With a sharp attention to detail and a passion for collaborating with other designers and vendors, I ensure that every project, big or small, is brought to life with impeccable execution. My ultimate goal is to provide a delightful experience for my clients, leaving them thrilled with their newly transformed space.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my family and loved ones who have always shown me love and support throughout my journey, as well as the many women who have opened doors for me and taken the time to guide me and encourage me to reach my biggest goals.
