We had the good fortune of connecting with Marjorica Ducheine, MA, NCC, LPC and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marjorica, how do you think about risk?
I started getting into pageants and back into modeling during in the peak of the pandemic. With my platform being centered on spreading mental health awareness and the importance of the balance between mental and physical health, I felt that starting my fitness journey and paying close attention to self care was essential during a time where anxiety and the feeling of a lack of control was absolutely prevalent. I traveled to new places, masked up, and eager to share a new experience and perspective on making new connections and spreading awareness on my platform. With support from a personal trainer and long time friend, I set out to meet the goal of getting back on track and meeting a whole new team in the process. If I didn’t at least try, I wouldn’t have gotten to be crowned and honored the titles: Miss Fashion Global National Fit Queen 2021, MFG Humanitarian Queen 2023, MFG Brand Ambassador and Guest Judge 2022 as well as United States of America’s Ms Lehigh Valley 2021 and first runner up for USOA Ms Pennsylvania 2021, Couture La Rouge VIP Model Ambassador, Top Model Female 2023 and Model Coach. Taking the risk to get out there and tackle the competition as well as build a sisterhood with so many has taken a big impact on my career and doing what I found I truly love to do. It opened up the doors to pave the way for others to see – if I can do it, step out of my comfort zone, venture out into the unknown and make an impact…than so can you! Don’t be afraid to show the world exactly who you are and what you stand for.

I founded my private practice, MMD Counseling Services, LLC during the pandemic as well – dedicating panel discussions and spreading mental health awareness through important topics throughout my journey. Currently, my co-founder and I have been conducting therapy sessions as well as discovering case management opportunities to assist others receive the help needed during this time. I will continue to use my crown as a microphone to speak on the importance of mental health and helping others.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a Queen, Ambassador, Coach, Licensed Professional Counselor, CEO & Founder of MMD Counseling Services, LLC – my mission is to continue to spread Mental Health Awareness and to help others take the leap in doing what they love.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m always up for a good time – whether it be at a good food spot in the city (if there’s seafood I’m there), playing games at a Dave & Busters, watching a good movie at the Cinema, playing TopGolf with friends, or trying something new and adventurous like indoor skydiving – I’m there in the city. Let’s not forget some Karaoke to seal the deal!
