We had the good fortune of connecting with Marjorie Ville and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marjorie, how does your business help the community?
I believe everything we do impact the world one way or another. I also believe one of the most powerful way to help is to know how to help ourselves first. This is what I do: empower others to take care of their own health and happiness, so they can in turn empower others to do the same.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My journey started when leaving France to move into the US in my early twenties, I had to rely on myself to “make it work”. Being away from my country and family was challenging, but allowed me to do just that. Always interested in health, I started my “entrepreneurial journey” as a personal fitness trainer, then got into holistic health, nutrition, life coaching, energy medicine… Over the years I did a lot of courses, attended many workshops, obtained lots of certifications… Which were all great! But it is through personal hardship that I always learned the most: every emotional breakdown, every heartache, every doubt or setback, would bring me closer to my soul and lead me to the next step.
What I love most about my practice, is that the more clients I see, the more classes I teach, the more experience I gain, the more I feel like a student all over again. And the better I become – Practitioner and Trainer in my field, but most importantly Human Being.
There are three key lessons I learned along the way: to receive everything as a gift; that growth only happens outside our comfort zone; and to enjoy the journey – because it has always been about the path, never about the destination. 😉
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take my friend to my favorite restaurant, Le Bouchon du Grove, located in Coconut Grove. The best French food in town! Then I would take her to the Keys. if not all the way to Key West, at least down to Islamorada, where we would go feed the tarpons at Robbie’s, have a drink at Lorelei, and watch the Sunset at Morada Bay to take breathtaking pictures. For a more city life experience, I would take her to Brickell in the heart of Miami, and have a drink on the East building rooftop, on the 40th floor at Sugar, for a spectacular view of the city. And I’ll also take her to the beach, all the way down to Key Biscayne at the lighthouse. We could spend a day relaxing there, take a bike ride, observe some wildlife, birds, raccoons, sometimes dolphins… And have a snack at the Cleat for sunset.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to Dr Edward Bach. Discovering his work has been my greatest inspiration. I feel honored to be walking in his footsteps, to continue to share his vision of everyone becoming their own healers with the help of Nature’s abundant gifts to humanity. With simplicity, humility, compassion.
