Meet Marluys Camargo | Beauty & Lifestyle Content Creator with a heart for authenticity

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marluys Camargo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marluys, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I was born in Cabimas, a city in the state of Zulia, Venezuela. I hold a degree in Education and a Master’s in Human Resources , two fields that reflect my passion for teaching, communicating, and supporting growth, both personally and professionally. I’ve always believed in the power of image not as something superficial, but as a form of identity, self-care, and self-worth.
Its Me Marluys was born in 2021 as a form of personal expression during a time of major life changes. After moving to a new country and feeling the emotional weight of the post-pandemic isolation, I felt the need to reconnect with myself. Creating content became my way to do that, an outlet, but also a space to share the things that helped me feel good again.
For years, people around me would ask how I styled my hair or what products I used. My answer was to create a space where I could show that taking care of ourselves, embracing our style, and celebrating what makes us unique is also a form of resilience. That’s how it all started, with honesty, intention, and a desire to inspire through the everyday.
Over time, my content began to reach more people, brands started to notice my work, and I decided to take it more seriously. I pursued training, attended events, and continued to grow. But at its core, Its Me Marluys remains just that – a real version of myself, creating with purpose, showing up with authenticity, and connecting from the heart.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
About my art
More than focusing on what sets me apart from others, I’ve learned to focus on what I want to bring into the world. I see myself as a voice for empathy, resilience, self-love, and the power we women have to embrace ourselves just as we are to celebrate our simplicity and highlight beauty with respect. For me, creating content isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about real connection. It’s a way of showing that taking care of ourselves can also be a form of healing.
What started as something deeply personal , a way to reconnect with myself during a time of major change has gradually evolved into a space that grows with intention. I’ve built each step with love, with patience, and with purpose. And while the path hasn’t been easy, I’ve learned to view competition as inspiration, not a threat. In fast-paced cities like Miami, where networking seems everything, I often felt out of place. But today, as I begin to see my work recognized by brands and people who value authenticity, I realize there is room for what’s new, for what’s heartfelt. And that’s where I belong.
Getting to where I am has been the result of consistency and a quiet determination that keeps pushing me, even when I doubt myself. I’m not always motivated, but in those moments, there’s always a voice inside me that reminds me why I started and says, “You’re close. Don’t give up.”
What excites me most is seeing opportunities I once only dreamed of becoming real: collaborating with brands I admire, being part of the beauty world from a place of knowledge and experience, and contributing to style with meaning. Because yes, beauty can also be a way to express ourselves and to connect deeply.
And this moment, this interview is also part of that journey. Being considered by a platform like Shoutout Miami reminds me that my voice can cross borders, that what I’m building has global potential, and that the things born from authenticity can open doors anywhere in the world.
I recently heard a phrase that moved me deeply: “Let’s build real networks, where we can truly see one another. Networks of love.”
That’s the vision I hold for my work to create real spaces, where we look at each other without filters, connect from a human place, and remember that in a world full of content, authenticity still matters.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If one of my best friends came to visit me, I’d plan an itinerary that mixes nature, art, local flavor, and of course fun. Because if there’s one thing about Miami, it’s that the city can surprise you in every way, from the simplest to the most surreal.
We’d start with something I love: reconnecting with nature. The Miami Zoo is one of my favorite spots , it’s spacious, well-kept, and perfect for feeling that Miami heat while surrounded by life. After that, of course we’d hit the beach. Miami has many, but my top three are South Pointe, Miami Beach, and Haulover. Each one has its own charm and they’re all perfect for walking, sunbathing, or just letting the sound of the ocean carry you away.
Food would definitely be a highlight of the trip. Miami is full of flavor, with cuisines from almost every culture, so you’re never bored. When it comes to cafés, I have a few favorites: one is all-pink and absolutely perfect for a girls’ afternoon, full of cute corners and photo ops. Another one is super original, it’s actually an airplane that’s been turned into a café. They’re both unique and unforgettable in their own way.
Since art always has a place in my plans, we’d dedicate a full day to Wynwood. The murals, the creative shops, the vibe everything is inspiring. I’d also take her to Superblue Miami, a fully immersive art experience that lights up all your senses, and to the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, which is both fascinating and beautiful, with amazing views. Another must? The Museum of Ice Cream, sweet, colorful, and so much fun.
For something more laid-back but equally lovely, we’d spend time in the Miami Design District, where you can literally breathe fashion and design at every corner. Then we’d end the afternoon at Bayfront Park, with the sunset in the background and a ride on the giant observation wheel to see the city from above. It’s one of those moments you remember forever.
And when it comes to uniquely Miami experiences, we couldn’t skip a catamaran ride or one of those open bar “party boats” that take you around the bay and show you the celebrity homes. It’s touristy, yes, but also a lot of fun and totally worth doing at least once.
To end the trip with a bang, we’d spend a night singing our hearts out at one of those “heartbreak karaoke” spots that are so trendy right now. Because really, what’s better than laughing, singing, and letting it all out with someone you love?
One week wouldn’t be enough, but we’d make the most of every second.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this space to those who have been a real and living part of my story.
To my family, who have believed in me from the very beginning. They’ve always been there, supporting me unconditionally, paying attention to every step I take, celebrating my wins as if they were their own. Their love and unwavering support have been an invaluable source of motivation. They are my roots.
To my husband, who not only shares life with me, but also my dreams. He’s often the necessary filter before I post anything the one who gives me a second opinion, asks key questions, and helps me see things with more clarity and focus. His support has been steady and meaningful.
To my community, who walks with me, listens, and lifts me up from the other side of the screen yet somehow feels so close. Your messages, likes, and encouragement mean so much more than you might think. You remind me that what I do truly matters.
And above all, I want to thank God. Because I know none of this would be possible without Him. He has given me the time, the energy, the opportunities, even the necessary pauses. I feel that everything has come at just the right moment, and to me, that’s more than luck it’s purpose. I feel deeply blessed for everything I’ve lived… and for everything that’s still to come.
