We had the good fortune of connecting with Martin Leon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Martin, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always wanted to start my own business. My son-in-law wants a pest control business and I noticed that he didn’t have a website so I thought to myself if he has this problem that means other people have this problem too so as I did more research, I found out that many people have this problem with small businesses so since I like IT and websites, I took it upon myself to start my small business this year in January 2026

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am retired military almost 24 years. I still work. I still work for the ITIT department at special operations command in Homestead. I am transitioning thinking about what I’m going to do when I retire since I enjoy working on the computer and I noticed that my son-in-law didn’t have a website. I figured that was my niche to entertain myself in my retirement years

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend came here to visit me from the Philippines because he currently lives overseas. I would take him to church because I am more interested in the afterlife than in this life.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’ve always enjoyed helping people. I guess that comes from a Christian background if I would have to accredited anything that has helped me in my life, it would have to be gone in the Bible as well as my wife and my four children.
