Meet Mary Lou DiNicolas | Prenatal:/Postpartum LMT, Labor support Doula, Private birthing class instructor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mary Lou DiNicolas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mary Lou, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought of starting my own business came very easily to me. Specializing in pre-and post natal massage and working with that demographic, it made perfect sense to create a comfortable and safe home office to do massage and hold my private birth class.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me a part is that I specialize in prenatal and postpartum massage and have 23 years of experience in working with pregnant clients and new moms. I also bring the experience of working as a labor support Doula for the last 20 years. Prenatal and postpartum massage is very different from a regular or spa massage. My massage is more about nurturing the mother and that is some thing I am very proud to say I am very good at. My passion is to take the fear out of birthing and to help women to have the birth of their dreams and giving them the tools to help them get there . All of this has come very easy to me and I’ve had no real challenges along the way.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I actually have friends and family visiting at this time. So of course the beach is always popular and my go to is always South Beach & Wynwood. There’s so much to do and so many great places to eat!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest shout out would have to go to my many clients. The word of mouth is what has kept me in business all these years along with the prenatal yoga classes in the area.
