We had the good fortune of connecting with Mavi Haime and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mavi, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always loved nature and spent years involved in park programs and environmental committees. in Miami and South Florida. I realized that many parks in Miami depend only on volunteers and don’t have steady support for reforestation of native-species projects in to their spaces in need.
That’s when I saw the opportunity to connect the private sector with the publica state county and city parks through “One Tree for Every Service or Product,….” a simple and accessible way for companies to practice real CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). Today, with more time to dedicate to this work, I’m focused on expanding the program, workshops and planting events, so it can create long lasting impact across South Florida’s public spaces. My program goals are to cover the 5R’s “recycle ,reduce, reuse, reforest and respect “, this way all segments of the community can get involved.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business was born from a lifelong passion for nature, community and environmental stewardship. After years of volunteering and serving on environmental committees, I saw firsthand how much public parks depend on limited resources and how deeply they need consistent support to restore native ecosystems that led me to create Green Miami Events program “One Tree for Every Product or Service,” an easy achievable model that connects private sector with the public parks reforestation needs. The beauty of it ,is that every planted native variety will be protected inside the park and has a great opportunity to live longer and make a difference, so making environmental action accessible, affordable, and meaningful for companies of every size.is the goal.
Through this program, businesses not only offset their carbon footprint, but also engage their families,teams/staff/ clients , products and services branding etc through workshops, volunteer days, and hands-on reforestation activities. Everything we do is grounded in the 5Rs: Recycle, Reduce, Reuse, Reforest, and Respect that guides every project and partnership we build, and it covers all aspects of life .
I am most proud of creating this platform where community, nature, and corporate responsibility comes together with real, measurable impact. Seeing companies adopt a greener mindset, witnessing restored native habitats, and watching these programs grow into long-term commitments is incredibly rewarding.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story is simple: environmental action becomes powerful when everyone participates. Green Miami Events is a movement designed to help everyone become responsible in a small or big way, of its own carbon footprint.
My goal is to grow my program One tree for every product or services…. as a commitment of responsibility, connection, and respect for the environment,( just imagine that each living person business, product, service any size ) has its own tree balancing its footprint., that will really make a difference. This is an easy way to just do the correct thing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Florida is a paradise of toys and locations for adults and kids, besides the basic touristic list of to do attractions and visit, i like to promote the outdoors,I am passionate about the state’s extraordinary outdoor lifestyle and its rich network of farm and equestrian communities.
From the world-class equestrian scene in Wellington, to the expansive training facilities and elite showgrounds in Ocala, to the diverse agricultural landscapes of Broward, Homestead, Palm Beach and Okeechobee, to mention few, Florida offers some of the most impressive race tracks, stables, and equestrian competition venues in the country. It is a true gift for every discipline of equestrian sport, all public parks in the state are designed and kept to create an outdoor safe experience with security and basic comfortable services to make the visitors enjoy the day out.
For those seeking beauty, lifestyle, and opportunity, Florida’s State, counties and city parks outdoors and equestrian landscapes showcase another view of our beautiful state.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Definitely my family that had support this idea, programs events and helped me to achieve all the contacts and planting coordination to get to successful stories during the past years, also I am very grateful to the public parks teams, volunteers, and environmental committees I’ve worked with over the years for their dedication to helped me to achieve each planting goal in each event.I have worked with majors, commissioners, non profit organizations private sector executives and general public always getting a positive and warming feedback who believed in the idea of connecting the private sector with public parks reforestation needs.
