We had the good fortune of connecting with Max Padron and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Max, how do you think about risk?
For me, Taking Risk is one of the most important elements of success. Going out of your comfort zone. My career wouldn’t be at the point that it is right now, without taking risk. Have your goals very clear, hone your craft and take the risk.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a Guitarist, Session Musician and music instructor. So I’m always very excited about what’s next. The next Show/Gig, the next artist I’ll get to work with, the next recording session and the next achievement of my students. And I’m very proud of my work and the career I chose. It’s been a long road filled with hard work, always having my goals very clear and of course, taking Risks! You’ll never know what would happen if you don’t go for it right? One of the things I’ve learned on this journey is to always be prepared and to hone your craft, always have a positive attitude, set your goals and be the best you can be(also networking, a lot of networking! That helps). I’m in love with my career and my work and what better reward than having Music around me 24/7.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is a tough question, specially here in Miami with the great options we have. But I think we can begin in coconut grove, it’s a beautiful place and the restaurants are amazing! Maybe starting with some Indian food at Bombay Darbar or some Thai food at Atchana’s(two of my personal favorites!), after that we can move into Midtown where we can a great and unique place called Lagniappe House, the best place to enjoy a good bottle of wine and live music. Another place worth visiting is the Faena Hotel in Miami Beach. Amazing food, drinks, live music and art all in the same place(and the skeleton of a mammoth made out of gold believe it or not). A good place to finish the night I would say it’s Wynwood with a hand full of different cool places to choose from.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
To my friends and fellow musicians, for encouraging and inspiring me. And to my heroes for paving the way and fueling my dreams.
