We had the good fortune of connecting with Mayrin Pirela and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mayrin, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Setting myself challenges every day that allow me to unleash my creativity, being consistent and disciplined, valuing all my clients by providing them with good service and always giving my best and going the extra mile in what I can give and offer.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about.

We strive to always give our best, we take our clients seriously and we like to cover all their needs, with us they don’t have to worry about anything other than smiling in the photo Say Cheese!.

I am excited to see the reaction of our clients when they see the final finished project, and that even though I show a digital sketch to all my clients so that they have a better vision of what they are hiring, reality always surpasses the digital and that is the most satisfying moment for me too, when I see the final work. Knowing that we were part of that moment, which fills the family with joy, is the part that makes me proud.

How did you get to where you are today business-wise. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?

It all started from my house, since my second son arrived 24 weeks premature, I had to stop working and decided to dedicate myself to him 100%, in the path of his care and medical complications, I got pregnant again and the situation became more complicated financially, but without losing the desire to celebrate I decided to do my own things for them since there were 5 family reunions a year, and not being able to make money to hire someone, I decided to do it myself without having previous knowledge or studies, but the artistic talent of working with my hands and having a lot of creativity runs through my blood, since my mother is very talented, but emigrating is not easy and when you emigrate you leave everything behind, and all the help that perhaps your relatives could offer you, here I had to start from scratch to do things myself to organize the birthdays, but I think my subconscious had archived all the things that I saw as a child or when I saw my mother or sister make pinatas or decorate a birthday. So I started making my family decorations and then for friends and as practice makes perfect, every time you practice you perfect the technique, and of course after I saw that people outside of my social circle wanted me to decorate for them I decided to become a professional, and that’s when I got my diploma as a professional Balloon Designer, at the Decolover Institute.

In Venezuela, after I graduated (I studied public accounting) I also set up my own store, and I took my own clients, so I think I’m designed that way hahahahahaha graduate from something you like and set up your own office hahaha I don’t know, but looking back it happened the same as the first time. It wasn’t easy, I’m very organized in that aspect and I have to control everything, it’s hard for me to let go and delegate, so with the help of my family, I started to prepare myself more than a year ago, and to visualize what I wanted and how I wanted it, I started to buy things and put them away, my house didn’t look like a house, there were things everywhere, there was a moment when I removed furniture and had my things in the living room, the garage is full of things. And at the beginning of that year I told my husband that by the end of July I was going to rent a place and take things out of my house, at that time I didn’t know how I was going to do it because I didn’t have the money, nor the place either. But well God put everything in place for me so that things would happen.

And here I am checking a box on my dream list because the sky is the limit. What’s easy? No, but it’s not impossible if you organize yourself and focus on what you have and prepare yourself professionally and always give your best, I think you can achieve it. Are you going to have 1000 negative thoughts? Yes, are you going to learn from yourself? Yes, are you going to fail? I don’t know, time will tell, I only know that if you emigrated and started with nothing and you have what you have, no matter what happens you can achieve it again.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

That you have to live one day at a time, and celebrate every day is a day that life gives you, that if you have a birthday, you don’t necessarily have to have a big party but celebrate with your loved ones, don’t overlook that day, because you don’t know, if for your next birthday you will be there to celebrate. And about my brand I chose an emoji for my second son, since he teaches me that every day is a new day, that despite his condition or all his physical problems that he has, whenever you tell him something he is laughing, he will always give you that smile that you need and that if he can and is fine and happy just the way he is, because someone who practically has everything (I mean, the basic things like, walking, talking, eating, taking care of yourself) is bitter, I know there are bad days, but try not to let those days be every day. Smile at other people, you don’t know if your smile changes someone else’s mood.
