Meet Melisa Caprio | Author, Photographer & Radio Host

We had the good fortune of connecting with Melisa Caprio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melisa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I am an author, photographer, radio host and the creator of Postcards to the Universe™ A Global Movement for Manifestation. I invite people from around the world to participate in this movement. By using photography, art, personal wishes and desires and sending them out to the Universe via a postcard. My book, Postcards to the Universe, Harness the Universe’s Power and Manifest your Dreams features 30 contributor’s postcards that I photographed along with their stories of manifesting abundance. I share manifesting exercises and writing prompts on wealth, health, career, and relationships to help people focus and get what they want. My inspiration comes from a desire to have a forum where people come together in creative ways for global change. For us to all realize that we in fact do have the power to bring into our lives those things and situations that we want. We are always manifesting using the Law of Attraction and usually it is things we don’t want, because that is what is holding our attention. I have found a way to co-create with the Universe, by tapping into our creativity. It is a powerful energy for focusing on what we DO want. We play out our stories in our lives and many times, not happily. What shows up for us is what we believe about ourselves. If we believe we don’t deserve to have a healthy relationship for example, what do you think will happen? We attract unhealthy relationships. If you want to bring in more money but your story is you never have enough money, what do you think shows up? Lack of funds in your bank account. I am interested in tapping into the energy of changing our personal story from sadness and lack to that of prosperity and joy.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I guide my clients on how to create a unique manifesting postcard on the power of creative intention. By creating a manifesting postcard we are telling the Universe very clearly what it is we want to bring into our life. You learn how to manifest love, relationships, success, money, health or anything your heart desires. Plus, it’s a lot of fun with a strong visual component. Using fun and play are very powerful energies. I also created a downloadable 30 day workbook titled, Manifesting Through Gratitude – A Visual Journey. By using photography, art, personal wishes and desires and sending them out to the Universe via a postcard we are telling the Universe exactly what we wish for. I believe that everyone who participates would benefit. Anyone who is looking to expand their life or is searching for ways to find some joy. Those of us that want to take control of our energy to raise our vibration. On my radio show and podcast Postcards to the Universe with Melisa, I share and talk about different ways to create abundance in our lives. I spotlight many guests with that same thought in mind. I feature authors and experts that help us to learn new ways and techniques to shift our life from lack to joy. I also like to share my own personal journey and how I shifted my story. Everything I have created I do myself on a regular basis and I cannot begin to tell you how much it has changed my own life. I am constantly manifesting new things and opportunities, it’s incredible.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
South Florida is a great place to visit, especially when our weather gets a little cooler. There are a few iconic places in South Florida that are a must. In Miami, hitting up Joe’s Stone Crabs for dinner is a top priority. There is no other place in the world like it. From there walking along Miami Beach to check out the shops and bars plus the people watching. We have the most interesting people here in Florida. I wouldn’t want to forget Wynwood for the galleries and Viscaya Museum and Gardens for the amazing scenery. In Fort Lauderdale, the art scene has really taken off. I would bring them to F.A.T. and Flagler Village Arts District where new galleries and studios are popping up all over. I would also want to show off Fort Lauderdale strip on the beach which has been famously featured in movies. I wouldn’t want them to miss Delray Beach. The Pineapple Grove Arts District is dotted with amazing restaurants, shops and galleries. And close by is the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens which is just gorgeous. Of course they have to have a day to sit by the ocean and experience our beautiful beaches and warm waters.
