We had the good fortune of connecting with Melissa Letellier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melissa, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
Before I had children, I used to measure success by the things you could see and count—luxury items, name brands, square footage, the kind of car you drove. I thought success meant having more, doing more, and being seen as someone who had it all together.

But after becoming a mother and walking through the fire of divorce, my definition of success has completely shifted. Today, success means having the freedom to create the life I want for my children—not just financially, but emotionally and spiritually. It means being able to show up: volunteering in their classrooms, cheering them on at every game, being present for the small moments that matter most. It’s about owning my time, not slaving away for someone else while my children are left to be raised by someone else.

Because our kids are only little once. And too many of us get caught in the grind or building someone else’s dream, while the most important parts of our own lives quietly slip by.

Real success is presence. Real success is freedom. Real success is them.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I specialize in working with postpartum mothers, focusing on corrective exercises to support healing from abdominal separation and pelvic floor dysfunction. In addition to movement-based recovery, I also offer lymphatic drainage and wood therapy services to support overall wellness and body confidence.

This business was born out of one of the most challenging chapters of my life—navigating a divorce while transitioning from a stay-at-home mom to full-time caregiver and main provider. Three years ago, with two babies under the age of two, I rebuilt not only my life but my career. And today, I get to help other mothers reclaim their strength, their bodies, and their sense of self. Motherhood does not have to be our sole identity, it is just a piece of our identity and we deserve to prioritize ourselves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m probably the worst person to ask—I spend most of my days golfing at costa del sol golf club, attending the ladies golf clinics with pure swings golf academy, hitting the gym at grit miami, while juggling school drop-offs and extracurriculars with my kids. But when I do decide to go out, I usually kick things off with a drink at Regatta Grove or go Bar hopping in the gables at the bar or copper 29 and let the night unfold from there.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To my children—because even on the days I’m running on fumes, they’re the reason I keep going.

But this is also for every single mom out there. So often, we carry the weight of two parents while co-parenting with someone who seems more focused on counter-parenting than working as a team. And yet, we still show up—day after day—putting our emotions aside to do what’s best for our children.

That kind of strength deserves recognition. So here’s to the single moms and the co-parents who keep showing up, even when it’s hard. You are seen. You are appreciated. You are powerful.
