We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Fonseca and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Quality, a lot of business owners these days priorities income at the top of their list. In my opinion this is a down fall. Quality is what sets my business apart from the rest. As soon as anyone steps on my boat they are treated like family, so much in fact they forget they are paying for a service. The money will always come, to secure the consistency is the quality of the service.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own a Party Boat Rental business in Miami. My passion and goal is to show customers another view of Miami and aid them to experience Miami waters and it’s beautiful islands; an opportunity so few people get to experience.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots in the city is on the water. Anyone can walk into establishments like the Wharf, Riverside, CaseBlanca or even the Rusty Pelican but pulling up to these locations on the water via boat have a totally different feel. I like to stroll down the Miami River at night and gaze upon all the lights and music Miami has to offer.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I first need to “Shoutout!” My parents. We started from the bottom in the projects of the Bronx. Both my parents separately showed me how to push through struggles to make it to the top. As a Veteran I learned many organizational skills through the Military and staying task oriented. Lastly my immediate support group, my girlfriend Kayleen Baez and Best Friend and Captain Alex Holmes, I could not have made it this far without them.
