We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Rolleri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I have a knack for seeing use in objects/ things even after they’ve been disregarded. Repurposing things that others believe to be scrap or trash. Making beautiful one of a kind trucks out of piles of rusted parts. One day I was paddle boarding in the ocean and came across a huge piece of driftwood, I dragged it to the shore line and lugged it to my truck. After letting it dry out I crafted a 8 ft long chandelier and it was amazing. At the very instant I knew there would be a want for such hand crafted items, I carried that same mindset into the automotive world and then found Salvage to Savage

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love building very custom trucks, we are all about the attention to every little detail. We build trucks that you can stand around for hrs and still find little things that will make you question (what is that) and blow your mind all together.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well….. I am a bit of a home body, and I also like to stay close to my house in east Boca, But I do love Wynwood. The art, culture ad vibe down there is great. nothing better then a ride down there in an old truck, parking on the street and meeting all the different people down there. Maybe a nice cruse down to the beach for a cocktail sitting outside somewhere..
Followed by may nice dinners in the Boca area. Mizner park is a solid place for good food and activities.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I get my creative eye from my Mother Debby, and my hard working ethic from my Father Michael. I also couldn’t be where I am today with out my boys at the shop, Andrew, Kyle, Dave and Khalel…..
