We had the good fortune of connecting with Michael Rubin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Michael, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I grew up in the pool business and have had a passion for pools and remodeling from a very young age. Growing up in South Florida, we have all heard horror stories about contractors, particularly swimming pool contractors. In creating Bella Pools of South Florida, I intended to change the narrative and provide customers with outstanding and personable service. For instance, I sell, manage, and oversee all projects to ensure my clients get top-quality service and products. Ultimately, what sets Bella Pools apart from other pool remodeling companies is that our clients deal directly with the owner throughout their entire process. Customers are not merely regarded as clients but as friends.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Bella Pools of South Florida specializes in residential and commercial swimming pools and patio renovations and has served the South Florida community since 2010. However, before that, I had worked in the industry for several years. After years in the industry, I was disappointed by the lack of integrity and professionalism, so I sought to change that. Over the years, I honed my skills and knowledge by working on a wide range of projects, from small to large-scale commercial renovations. As a result, I take a hands-on approach to every project, overseeing all aspects of the remodeling process to ensure that each project is completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. In addition to creating beautiful backyard transformations, I seek to include my clients in every step because I believe transparency and communication are key to providing exceptional service.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Special thanks to your wife for her unwavering support and encouragement. When I started Bella Pools, we would spend countless hours at expos trying to grow the business, and she stood by my side. It makes all the difference having someone who inspires you to be the best version of yourself and reach your goals.
