We had the good fortune of connecting with Michele Benesch and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michele, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
At Menu Men, we know that a menu is the only item 100% of restaurant goers are sure to read. Therefore we treat it as a marketing tool vs just a list of food items. We work with each client to custom create a menu design based on a food margin analysis, psychology research, food knowledge and yes, graphic design. This approach has helped our customers increase per check sales as well as helped implement a better menu to execute efficiently in t he kitchen.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
For 52+ years Menu Men, inc. has designed and manufactured one thing: MENUS! It is truly a niche in the hospitality world that has a direct impact to restaurateurs and hoteliers bottom line. When my father and grandfather founded the company our product offering largely specialized in Graphic Design, Printed Menus with a Paper or Pajco Cover and Captains Books too hold the wine list. When I took the leadership role I focused on broadening our product scope and services. Today we offer Menu Engineering in addition to Menu Design. We offer not only Printed Menus but hundreds of different Leather, Wood, Acrylic options to display your menu. We have added product packaging design, social media and web-site development and an array of other branding focused services. Has it been easy to pivot our product in today’s ever changing world of Co-Vid? Not at all! But we quickly adapted and implemented customized QR Code menus for our clients; created customized safety floor and window signage for social distancing or mask mandates; produce outside banners of any size to feature and communicate our clients message; and have secured an exclusive on a antimicrobial material that is not only safe to use as a menu cover but beautiful too!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
