We had the good fortune of connecting with Michelle G and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Michelle, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Up until the movie Hitch and the reality TV show, The Millionaire Matchmaker, the general public wasn’t aware that there was an industry of professional services dedicated to helping people in the love department. These reality shows and blockbuster movies created a skewed perspective with regard to the true process behind the scenes, leading singles to generate unrealistic expectations about love. Rome wasn’t built overnight and neither is true love. The biggest myth out there is that you can only have one true love and that simply isn’t the case. Love presents itself in our lives to inspire us, stimulate creativity, and form deep friendships. Sometimes love lasts and other times it comes to give you something you need to continue your search for the love you truly desire. When you think you’ve found “the one”, spend meaningful time together to build your friendship. Why is this important? Because once the infatuation stage passes and life returns to a normal pace, it’s easy to forget what brought you together in the first place and the lack of clarity on that “why” could be a recipe for relationship trouble.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We recognize the challenges successful professionals face when looking for a life partner, so our mission is to help ambitious singles remove the obstacles that prevent success in love and in finding a meaningful relationship. We work with clients in two ways. For those who are busy (executives, VPs, CEOs, lawyers, politicians, etc.) and don’t have the time to online date or they’re not meeting singles at their level, we offer our Elite Matchmaking Services. Think of us as the “real estate agent” for your love life. We curate quality introductions and vet them on your behalf before making an introduction. We recognize matchmaking isn’t for everyone, and sometimes clients just need help with their emotional blindspots, so we offer Date Coaching. This program is ideal for professionals who are dating, but not having success in attracting the right type of partner or for those who need help with crucial dating skills such as flirting, body language, conversation, and confidence. Every person is unique and has his/her own story to tell, which is why before working with us, we offer a consultation to learn more about the needs of our clients and provide them with our recommendation on what service would help them reach their love goal. What makes Michelle G International different from other matchmaking and relationship coaching companies is our science-based approach in all of our offerings. We call it Love Psychology. Our proprietary methodology helps singles thrive and find love. We’re not interested in short-term results. Instead, we’re fully invested in our clients’ long-term happiness. Everyone within our team is a professional and has a college degree in their area of expertise.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Whenever anyone comes to town, I love the idea of walking around to discover the city and a couple of hidden gems that only locals know about! Walking throughout Wynwood is a must! Seeing the different murals and urban art galleries really gives a sense of the creativity that lives in MIA. I can’t leave Wynwood without making a quick lunch stop at Kyu for lunch! Dessert is always a must on my agenda, so to add the cherry on top, Cielito Artisan Pops is a no brainer! What kind of tour guide would I be if I didn’t take my bff to get some rays and a dip in the water?!! My favorite beach is Key Biscayne because of how quiet and secluded it is. Miami is a beautiful city with so many gems, it’s hard to just have a few favorites.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
OMG, yes! It definitely takes a village. For starters, I want to thank God for opening doors and placing the mentors I needed (even if I didn’t know it) in my path. Next, a shout out to my family which includes my mom, dad, and sisters who have always believed in me regardless of what crazy idea I pitched to them. Each of them continues to impact me in different areas of life and teaches me something new every day. Last but not least, my husband Leo. Thanks to his sage advice, he is and continues to be my rock and biggest cheerleader.
