Meet Mike Goldstein | The Pedaling Pontificator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mike Goldstein and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mike, what do you attribute your success to?
The people I’ve met since I became more involved in and eventually took over Capital City Pedicabs have definitely been a huge part of the success of its brand.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Capital City Pedicabs is Tallahassee’s only year round pedicab company. We do it differently than our industry peers and are proud of that. We get to go out every day not expecting what we will make but the potential from the rides is endless. We just celebrated 10 years in business and it definitely wasn’t easy. I’m still learning as I go but we are clearly doing something right even if it’s not in a conventional way. I’ve learned to stick to my gut feeling when it comes to business decisions even when it’s looked at as questionable. We aren’t going anywhere anytime soon and are still glad to be along for the ride.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Railroad square, cascades park. The colleges as a whole (not just athletics) and too many other places and things that could fill up a whole series of articles.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Ron Goldstein, my father started the company with having me eventually take it over being his plan that I had no idea about.
