We had the good fortune of connecting with Mindie Molina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mindie, how do you think about risk?
My dad says as I child, I was not afraid of anything. Fearless. Perhaps that’s true in many ways. I was adventurous and still am. I love the challenge of doing things most girls could not or would not do.

However, the fear of failure turned out to be a challenge as an adult. If someone had asked me if I was afraid to take risks, I would have said no; however, it would have been untrue. Unknowingly I would be lying because indirectly I struggled with taking risks due to my fear of failing.

I asked a friend one time how she was so good at moving on. I wished I had that ability to let go and embrace the next chapter, but I was struggling.

This leads me to my perception of risk. Not only in my career, my investment philosophies, but also in my personal life. Once I realized I had no reason to fear failing, I was able to take the risks I needed to take in order to accomplish the life I wanted to live. The fear of failing along with the paralyzing pains failing can put on a person, were keeping me from letting go and moving on.

In order to take the necessary risks to accomplish your goals and the life that you dream of, you have to be able to let go and move on when failure happens. Once you can overcome being paralyzed by failure or the fear of failure, you can accomplish anything. Believing it can happen, knowing failure is just a pothole in the road and not the end of the road is the strength that will get you there.

Risk used to be a challange. Now it’s a friend. The more risk, the more reward, and I am a believer.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own and operate an Investment and Insurance practice, Mindie Molina Investments and Insurance. I became a fiduciary before fiduciaries were cool. I came into the industry through the love of my clients and the relationships I had with them. I grew organically by helping them and then their children achieve their financial goals and find peace of mind. Integrity, honesty, loyalty, and moral compass unlike any other set me apart. I chose a career path unlike most in my industry. I chose the one that was the best for my clients. I chose people over institutions.

I became a Fee-Only Independent Investment Advisor Representative and Insurance agent. That means I work for my clients and the only goals I have to meet are the ones that align directly with thiers. I learned early on that you either work for a company or a client. It was up to me to choose. I chose a client and fortunately my clients chose me.

I’ve grown by being good. I know this is what God has called me to do, and I am committed to doing it his way, the right way. I love my clients and the company they have helped me build. It’s a lifestyle more than a career. My business is part of my personal life. I prefer to make it personal and keep it that way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love to fish, surf, and free dive, so my favorite spot is the ocean. I also love our social scene here in Stuart. There is always something to do and somewhere to go. This town is full of good people.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To my amazing mother who has lived in the face of adversity and has never been stopped by it. Barbara Disbro
