We had the good fortune of connecting with Miriam Grunhaus and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Miriam, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
The goal is to be known as a source of hope for healing. I want my clothing brand, my book, the course and every material that I put out into the world, to send the message that anyone can heal, and they can live a more joyful life. I want women to know that they are perfect not despite their circumstances but because of them. I want them to know that I truly care about their wellbeing, and that resilience is something that can be learned. I hope that women will also see that supporting one another in our individual journeys can make us stronger, and better.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Our fashion brand is not only a fashion company. Our collection is inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, the art of mending pottery with lacquer and gold. As a philosophy, Kintsugi teaches us that we can all heal, put our pieces together, and just like the art we can be stronger, better, and more valuable after healed. We knew that in order to feel fulfilled, we would need to share our story and mission through our collection. Our goal is to empower women to feel strong, able to heal, inspired, and not alone. Along with our clothing, we shared the stories of resilient women who thrived after overcoming adversity through our blog. My book is coming out by the end of October and our course should be available right after as well. We are not just a fashion brand. We are a women empowerment movement.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First stop would have to be the Fairchild Botanical garden, I absolutely love nature, the serenity, and the perfection of God’s creation is very inspiring to me. For lunch I prefer a picnic at a park or at a secluded beach, ending the night with a walk-through south beach. The perfect place for tourists to feel the magic of Miami.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I was raised by parents who taught me to differentiate right from wrong and to always choose right. They instilled in me strong work ethics and these lessons became the baseline for who I am. My husband has always been a huge supporter of my strong commitment to work and allowed me to devote the necessary time to bring my concepts to life. Along the way, I have been inspired by people like Jack Canfield, Les Brown, Paul Cummings, who have aided in my personal growth. The art of Kintsugi and its philosophy have been personally life-changing, and I am blessed to have met the most amazing, strong, resilient women whom I have interviewed and inspired me on the course of the last two years.
