We had the good fortune of connecting with Mishele Arciniega and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mishele, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
For me, loving what you do is crucial to succeed. Just like Bad Bunny said during his acceptance speech at the Grammys: “When you do things with love and passion, everything is easier.” Passion pushes you to be the best version of yourself and it gives you all of the necessary tools to become the best, it gives you determination, curiosity, and just the right amount of energy. Add persistence and dedication to this, and you have the perfect combo to succeed in anything that you dream.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am currently part of the Awards team at the Latin Grammys, where we manage and coordinate everything related to the nomination and awards process for the Latin Grammy ceremony. I currently co-lead various expert committees that take on the voting and selecting responsibilities to select the winners. Every year, I take on new projects that help make the Latin Grammys possible, which makes me very proud.
I recently co-founded a project based in Los Angeles as well called L.A Playground, which showcases high-value Latin talent around the city. So far, we’ve had two sold-out shows, including one with Sin Bandera’s Noel Schajris and the internationally acclaimed Mexican-Peruvian group Migrant Motel.
My experience as an executive producer in various productions before coming to the Latin Grammys, has allowed me to explore new territories and I hope to keep expanding my expertise with new opportunities.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m in love with Española Way, I think it is a beautiful place to visit and hang out if you are ever in Miami. I also love what you’ve done with the Arts District, definitely my favorite place to have a drink at. Miami is a place filled with interesting people, especially if you are in the Latin Music Industry. You can find a successful Latin artist or business person everywhere, and I love that vibe.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This shoutout is for every special person in my life that believes in me and supports me.
