We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Monica, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Independence!!! Since I was in middle school I picked my career, my parents took me to the dentist routinely I liked talking good care of my teeth then I realized I wanted to be a dentist and the best part was I would be my own boss and also independent.
The success of my career was 100% under my control.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
When I was a dentist in Peru, and for 18 years of being a dental hygienist in Florida plus 1 year of beautician what clients and patients told me is that I am very thorough and perfectionist. I am proud of the quality of work I provide. I think that’s why I enjoy tattooing , laminating and sculpting eyebrows because one hair makes a big difference.
Challenges will always be there but when there is a will there is a way.
Nothing good comes easy. and it is fine.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When family or friends come visit I take them to historical places not too far the Flagler museum and a little bit farther Saint Augustine to experience the Christmas ambiance . We will definitely go to any of our amusement parks. In Orlando.
For a good dinner I love waterfront restaurants with live music, fortunately we have many in town, Sailor’s return in Stuart, Crabby’s in Fort Pierce..
Going fishing or just to the sandbar in Jupiter is also a fun thing to do along with paddle boarding , kayaking .
I love nature sunrise and sunsets.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to Andrea Palermo, a wonderful friend and permanent makeup artist with a dental background too. Who is always willing to give you a helping hand regardless. Robert Fiance beauty schools, Miss Cecilia and miss Denise two excellent estheticians who love to teach.
And my family for their unconditional support and love.
