We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Soler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monica, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Being a mom to a lively 4-year-old while managing Uptown Clinique has been quite a challenge.

At first, it felt like I was doing a juggling act, trying to balance taking care of my child and handling work. But with time, I realized how important it is to find a good balance.

Thankfully, I can work from home sometimes, which makes a big difference. Plus, having a great team at the office helps a lot. I know I can rely on them when I’m not there.

But let’s be honest, finding the perfect work-life balance is tough. Some days work needs more attention, and other days my kid needs me more. So, I’ve learned to be flexible and not feel guilty about it. Life is about adapting and doing what works best at the moment.

What should our readers know about your business?
At Uptown Clinique, we specialize in oculofacial plastic surgery, offering treatments for the face and eyelids, both surgical and non-surgical. Our focus is on providing personalized care to ensure natural-looking results.

Our membership program is exclusively for committed patients, and we’re really excited about it! It covers annual injectables and Indiba treatments. Indiba uses radiofrequency to rejuvenate the skin and boost collagen production, leaving you looking and feeling refreshed.

The journey to where we are today wasn’t always easy. We faced competition and had to earn the trust of our clients. But our dedication to excellence and delivering great results helped us overcome these challenges. The most important lessons learned has been listening to our patients and tailoring treatments to meet their needs.

At Uptown Clinique, building meaningful, long-term relationships with our patients is at the heart of what we do. We love it when satisfied clients refer their friends and family to us.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Fort Lauderdale, I would recommend checking out some of my favorite restaurants, including The Katherines, Aida, and Heritage. For a relaxing time, you can always enjoy the beautiful beach. If you’re in the mood for a city vibe, Miami is just a short drive away.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m thankful to my husband for his support and guidance in shaping my career. I also want to give a shoutout to “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle, a book that taught me how important it is to live in the moment and find balance in our busy lives.
