We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Delgado and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Morgan, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is the emphasis on relationship marketing. My main focus is to get to know my customers, and their families. Leaving them wanting to come back for the experience, in addition to an incredible product. It was the support of our locals that allowed me to be where I am now, I owe them a brand they can trust.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a brewing artisan of sorts, my passion lies in all things herbal. More specifically, elderberry. When I started my business I knew my product had to be superior to anything you could by from a large chain, it needed to reflect our local community, and be a powerhouse for immune support. Our small-batch brewing process takes hours start to finish (6 to be exact), using herbs that work synergistically in the body. We set ourselves apart by using ingredients local to our area as much as possible, most notably raw honey.
When I started out my dream was to one day have a small storefront in one of our many historical districts, a dream I thought would be YEARS in the making. It was through round the clock brewing, marketing, phone chats with customers, and establishing retail locations that landed us a brick and morter storefront within our first year of business. Definitely one of the hardest endeavors I’ve ever taken on, as a homeschooling mother of then 3.
I want the world to know that our brand was built with family in the forefront, and that no matter what obstacles lie in our path family is what will bring us out on the other side.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For a week getaway to Treasure coast there are so many ‘must-do’ places! Brunch in downtown Stuart at The Society Market Cafe tops the list with a walk down Flagler to check out all the incredible boutique shops afterward. Another can’t miss in the area is Hani Honey Co’s (our honey supplier) new boutique /kitchen offering honey from all over the world + incredible teas, pastries and soups! A hidden gem just in the downtown outskirts is the family owned Casa Bella Italian restaurant, a great dinner venue that even grows their own herbs and veggies on site!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A huge source of encouragement and support for me has been my husband. He knew nothing about what it meant to open an ‘elderberry company’ or that such thing even existed, however, he had faith in me. He knew that if I was this passionate about something, it was bound to be successful. My close friends and family have also helped pave my path. From pro-bono graphic design & photography, to website construction, and bottle sourcing, they’ve allowed me to deliver my very best self from day one.
