We had the good fortune of connecting with Mr. Pauer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mr. Pauer, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Since I was a child I discovered music was my passion. When I was about 12 years old my father asked me a HUGE question: What do you want to be when you grow up? My answer was: I WANT TO BE A MUSICIAN! He laugh and replied: You are gonna starve to death!

That became a trauma / motivation to take the risk to be who I am today. At a point I was trying to prove I was not going to starve to death, but after a while navigating in success and stability I understood that I didn’t have to prove anything to anybody.

The life lesson was to take the risk to fight for what I love and be responsible enough to make it happen and do it with excellence.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I went to school for Graphic Design and worked as an art director for many years. Music was still my number one goal and I used my career to fund and ignite my music dream. I chose graphic design because I saw the potential of designing my own album covers, posters, flyers, etc. This was and still is a career that compliments music and I enjoy using it in many medias like fashion, video, and branding of Mr. Pauer.

I am an empirical musician and learned to play drums, keys and a little guitar by ear. Later in life I studied Electronic Music Production mostly to learn how to record myself and produce my own music.

The most important lesson is discipline, commitment, practice and never stop dreaming.
I enjoy every part of music creation and performance and keep education myself everyday.

I became a music producer and have worked with artists like Diplo, RedOne, Daddy Yankee, Amigos Invisibles and many more.

in 2024 I’ll be releasing my latest album with Orianna/SONY Spain which I’m really excited about because is my first experience with a record label after releasing music all this years as an independent artist.
Here I have music collaborations with artists like Colombia superstar GOYO, Dominican trap/dembow start Chucky73, Venezuelan rap legend MCKlopedia, Nigeria’s top producer Mystro and long time collaborator and friend CaRaSi.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am originally from Venezuela but I consider Miami my home! To live Miami as Mr. Pauer, once you arrive at MIA I’ll take you for a cafecito at Versalles (Cortadito con leche evaporada) and a guava pastelito. That never gets old!
I’m the kind of Miami citizen that can drive anywhere without a GPS.
I’ll definitely take you to Wynwood to show you that Miami is more than beach and malls.
In Wynwood you will find some of my favorite spots like Fireman Bob key lime pie, 1800-Lucky, The Taco Stand and the typical graffiti tour (Nowadays less and less due to the gentrification)
I love to cook so for me is always a treat to cook for my friends specially smoking a brisket, pulled pork or tacos listening to amazing music in my patio.
I love to show different neighborhoods that are popping and have their own identity like Little River, Fort Lauderdale, Homestead, Coconut Grove and even Doral that has a nice brewery selection like Trippin Animals, andTank Brewery.
I’m a fan of the PAM Museum and even taking a back and fort trip on the metrorail to see Miami from a different perspective. A walk in the beach is a MUST specially in North Beach where we can catch amazing programming at North Beach Bandshell, If its full moon, we can catch the drum circle, and if we are hungry paid a visit to Manolos.
I also love Yellow Green Market in Hollywood to explore the taste of Miami by all local vendors and also to shop for fresh produce. I’m sure that I will be playing somewhere in Miami and that’s where party will happen!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out my inner child for staying true to the essence and never giving up. I also want to shout out my wife who has been a big anchor and supporter of my dreams.
Las but not least, I want to thank all the people that dances to my music thru all this year of music creation, amazing concerts and parties!
