We had the good fortune of connecting with Naomi Esther Blemur and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Naomi Esther, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?

I am a multi-faceted professional with a diverse background in writing, coaching, and entrepreneurship. Originally hailing from Miami, FL and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I am a passionate advocate for helping individuals discover their purpose and achieve their goals. Despite encountering significant personal challenges at a young age, including the loss of both parents before turning eighteen and taking on the responsibility of raising my three younger siblings, including one with special needs, I persevered with tenacity and resilience.

As the child of Haitian immigrants, I chose to pursue a career in business management, rather than following the traditional path of becoming a nurse, as my parents had envisioned. This bold decision, combined with my unwavering faith, has propelled me to success and helped shape the person I am today. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel extensively and broaden my horizons through my studies, including completing coursework in Business in the European Union in France, Business Management & Marketing in Spain, Language & Culture in Italy, and Accounting in the United States.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

As a trained Accountant and Consultant, with 20 years of experience in Business Management, Commercial Banking, and Not-for-Profit Management, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my clients through our services. As the managing partner of my firm, my goal is to collaborate with visionaries and help them build, brand, and manage their creative projects while achieving our mission to develop solutions that mobilize and empower others. As a co-founder of Balancing Life, we were honored to establish the first co-working space in North Miami. Our community hub, Balancing Life Workspace, is designed for creatives, freelancers, independent contractors, and startups, and our mission is to provide affordable workspaces for locals to connect, create, and cultivate.

Being an entrepreneur is far from easy, and there are many challenges to overcome, including the initial obstacle of overcoming your own self-doubt. Your own voice may tell you that you can’t do something, that your idea won’t work, or that you need to get your act together first. My response is that there is no perfect person, and you will never have everything in order. You must take a leap of faith. As you move toward your dream, every resource and skill you need to make it a reality will come to you naturally.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

If I were to take a tour of Miami with a friend, I would start by exploring my very own city – North Miami. Our first stop would be the Museum of Contemporary Arts (MOCA) to check out their latest exhibit and register for an upcoming art class. Afterward, we would indulge in some delicious Creole cuisine at Chef Creole, where their fish is a must-try!

Next, we would take a leisurely stroll through the Enchanted Forest Elain Gordon Park, soaking in the beauty of the 22-acre forest canopies, native wildlife, and scenic landscapes. For dinner, we would head to Ricky Thai Bistro, one of the best Thai restaurants in town. I highly recommend the Shrimp Pad Thai and their signature tea.

Our tour would continue with a visit to the Copper Gallery, located downtown in North Miami. We would also learn about the Copperbridge Foundation and their contributions to the arts scene in the city. To satisfy our hunger, we would make a stop at Potiwa Pizza, a new gem serving up unique conch pizza, Haitian style.

Overall, our tour would be a perfect blend of art, culture, and gastronomic delights.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

It is with a heart full of appreciation and admiration that I dedicate this shoutout to my beloved younger sister, Elizabeth R. Leriche. She is a remarkable individual, who exudes strength, intelligence, and unwavering perseverance.

As a recent law school graduate, Elizabeth constantly inspires me with her tenacity and determination to succeed in her chosen field. Her unwavering commitment to her work and her clients is a testament to her character and her passion for justice.

More than just a sister, Elizabeth is also a daily reminder for me to lead with love, kindness, and a servant’s heart. Her unwavering belief in the power of compassion and empathy has taught me to approach every interaction with sincerity and a willingness to serve others.

I am beyond blessed to have Elizabeth in my life, and I look forward to witnessing all the incredible things she will accomplish in the future. She is truly a force to be reckoned with, and I am honored to call her my sister.
