Hi Nasima, what do you want people to remember about you?
When I think about my legacy, I definitely think about our tag line at my agency “helping you build your legacy.” I want to be here’s as a person who helped other’s build their legacy through insurance. All decisions I make, are based on, not only how it affects me today, but how it will affect those who I care about, tomorrow. We work to help others acquire life insurance, review their liability limits, and really understand how insurance can protect their families. I’d like to be remembered as a person who dedicated her life to helping others achieve their goals, and build their legacies through insurance.

What should our readers know about your business?
I own a State Farm Agency, and decided on this opportunity, because I believe in what the company stands for. It aligns with my goals of helping others. I had a long career in health services administration, and leadership in the health insurance industry. The experience I gained during that time, has been essential in the transition to entrepreneurship. Having been a teen Mom, I began my professional journey, with the mindset of knowing I could not fail, because I had someone else depending on me. Now, after over 20 years, I am appreciative for the multiple roles I have held, and overall the willingness of many mentors who gave me opportunities, and guided me along the way. I make insurance sound simple, which I have found, is something people really appreciate!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The beach! I find so much peace in being near the water. It’s something I would like everyone to experience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Mom! She showed me the importance of hard work, dedication, but most importantly, compassion for others. I also, learned about insurance, at a very young age, because she owned an insurance agency when I was growing up. She always applied a “do the right thing” philosophy in her profession, and I am beyond grateful for those lessons.
