Meet Natalia Restrepo | Psychologist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalia Restrepo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalia, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
I think most people believe being a psychologist means just sitting in a chair all day saying “And how does that make you feel?” but honestly, it’s so much deeper than that. What people don’t see is how much we feel too. We hold space for really intense emotions, stories, and sometimes even silence. It’s not just about giving advice ,it’s about walking beside someone while they figure themselves out. It’s emotional, raw, and sometimes even messy… but that’s where the magic happens. Also, we don’t have it all figured out either , we’re humans first, therapists second. I’ve cried over love, I’ve had my own messy emotions, and I’ve made mistakes just like anyone else. The difference is that I’ve learned to look inward and take responsibility for my healing. Being a therapist doesn’t mean I’m above it all ,it just means I’m walking my own path, too. I don’t show up to judge or fix anyone. I show up to walk beside you… because I get it, I’ve been there, and I’m still learning too.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is that I don’t do therapy from a “higher place” ,I do it from a place of humanity and connection. I’m not the type of psychologist who hides behind big words or pretends to have a perfect life. I show up real, honest, and emotionally available, because I truly believe healing happens when we feel seen and understood. I’m most proud of the way I’ve brought psychology into spaces that feel more relatable (especially on social media) where people can learn, reflect, and feel accompanied without judgment.
I knew I had something meaningful to share, and with time, practice, and support, I found my voice. Along the way I’ve learned that vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness and that people connect more with your truth than with any ‘perfect’ image you try to project.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s that I’m here to make inner work feel safe, empowering, and even a little fun. I blend psychology, storytelling, and emotional education to help people understand themselves better and love more consciously. This isn’t just my job ,it’s my purpose.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Miami, I’d definitely make sure they got the full experience ; fun, food, dancing, and some good soul-nourishing moments too.
First night? We’re going to Cantina La 20. It’s honestly one of my favorite spots ,amazing dinner, great drinks, and the vibe is just perfect. It starts chill, but then the DJ comes out and suddenly you’re dancing at your table . it’s like dinner turned into a party without even leaving the place. And if we’re still in the mood to dance, we can head right across to Socialista or La Victoria , both are super fun, stylish spots to keep the night going.
The next day, we slow it down a bit, maybe go on a boat and cruise around, play good music, have drinks, and just soak in that Miami sunshine. If not the boat, then beach time for sure. After that, we could hit the shops , maybe Bal Harbour for something bougie, or Design District to walk around, grab a coffee and admire the architecture and art.
During the week, I’d also throw in brunch at Mandolin Aegean Bistro , it’s this beautiful little hidden gem with the best Mediterranean food. At night, maybe dinner in Coconut Grove or in a Omakase, there a bunch in Miami. Sunday could be spa day to relax and reset before heading back.
Miami has this perfect mix of energy and ease. you can party one night and be zen by the ocean the next. That’s the magic of it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to give a huge shoutout to my family. They’ve supported me since day one, especially when I started putting myself out there on social media, which honestly felt super uncomfortable at first. I used to hate recording myself on video, but they kept cheering me on until I found my own rhythm and voice. And most of all, my mom. She’s a child psychologist, and she’s been my biggest inspiration. I grew up watching her work with so much love and dedication, and it planted the seed for the work I do today. She showed me what it means to truly hold space for someone and I carry that with me every day.
