We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Jones Pantaleon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
In terms of impact on my children, the MOST important thing I have done is reading a book by Dr. Shefali Tsabary called ‘The Conscious Parent’. I always believed that all children are born with their own distinct life purpose. What I didn’t know was how, as parents, we often inadvertently get in their way, which can be a source of unnecessary suffering. This book taught me that not only do babies show up with a purpose, but that they arrive in their complete authenticity, perfect in who they are. They also show up in our lives, as parents, with a beautiful offering to us. They offer us a path to our own greater truth & authenticity. It is such an honor to raise a child and it is also one of the most challenging life experiences. It can feel overwhelming at times because we don’t really know how to parent until we become parents. We’re on that journey in real time, as we are figuring it all out. This book simplified it all by teaching me that what I really needed to focus on was that my children felt loved and cherished simply for being themselves. It is not for me to choose their paths or curate their personalities, but rather to support and love them knowing that they are the ones to choose & then can ultimately bring that purpose they were born to bring. Dr. Shefali says, “When you parent, it’s crucial you realize you aren’t raising a “mini me”, but a Spirit throbbing with its own signature.”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Best time ever with my bestie here in Palm Beach would definitely include some Ocean sunrises and banana pancakes at the Pelican in downtown Lake Worth or brunch at the oceanfront Dune Deck in Lantana. Another must is a stroll through the gardens at Morikami in Delray.
