We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Kwait and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
For much of my life, I was constantly on the go, living in survival mode without even realizing it. Growing up, I never felt truly safe to slow down or just be—I learned that staying busy was a form of protection. This pattern followed me into adulthood, where I poured myself into work, always doing, achieving, and giving, yet rarely stopping to ask, What do I actually need?

Without knowing it, I was operating from fear—fear of stillness, fear of not doing enough, fear of what might surface if I slowed down. This created an undercurrent of stress that shaped how I approached balance (or, rather, how I didn’t). I equated productivity with worth, so rest felt unnatural.

Over time, through deep healing and embodiment work, I began to redefine balance—not as a rigid structure but as a felt sense of safety within myself. Now, I create balance by listening to my body, honoring my energy cycles, and allowing space for joy, play, and deep presence. It’s no longer about managing time perfectly but about creating a life where I feel free, grounded, and whole.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business, Harmony Nest Wellness, is all about helping families—mothers, tweens, and teens—break free from limiting belief systems, heal intergenerational wounds, and step into deep self-expression and empowerment. I blend holistic health, subconscious reprogramming, somatic healing, movement, breathwork, and intuitive guidance to create transformative spaces where people feel seen, heard, and truly connected to themselves.

What Sets Me Apart?

What makes my work different is that I don’t just focus on behavior or mindset—I go deeper into the body, emotions, subconscious programming, and nervous system. Many families are stuck in cycles of stress, disconnection, and overwhelm because they’ve never been given the tools to regulate, express, and heal at a root level. I don’t just help parents manage their children; I help them understand them on a soul level, shifting old patterns and creating lasting transformation. I guide tweens and teens to trust themselves, navigate emotions, and break free from subconscious fears and conditioning that aren’t truly theirs.

How I Got Here & The Challenges Along the Way

My journey hasn’t been easy. For years, I lived in survival mode, constantly overgiving, overworking, and overthinking. I started as a teacher and early intervention therapist, deeply passionate about helping children, but I burned myself out, constantly putting others before my own well-being. It took deep inner work—healing my nervous system, rewiring my subconscious programming, reconnecting with my own expression, and unlearning the belief that success comes from struggle—to build a business that truly aligns with who I am.

My own holistic health journey played a huge role in this transformation. I spent years retraining my body, mind, and spirit to heal from memory challenges, gut imbalances, and burnout. I also discovered how much of my stress and struggle came from deeply ingrained subconscious beliefs—patterns I had absorbed from childhood, past experiences, and societal conditioning. Once I began reprogramming my subconscious mind, everything shifted. I started seeing where I was operating from fear, perfectionism, and self-doubt—and I learned how to release those patterns for good.

I had to break through a lot of fear, self-doubt, and conditioning that told me to play it safe, follow the rules, and do things the “right” way. Instead, I chose to trust myself, create my own path, and build a business rooted in deep healing, play, self-expression, subconscious freedom, and holistic well-being.

Lessons I’ve Learned:

• You can’t guide others in healing if you’re running on empty. I had to learn how to nurture myself first so I could truly show up for my clients.
• True transformation doesn’t happen in the mind alone—it happens in the body and subconscious. That’s why I integrate somatic work, subconscious reprogramming, movement, and breath into everything I do.
• Holistic health isn’t just about the body—it’s about how we express ourselves, release stored emotions, and feel safe in our own skin.
• Our subconscious beliefs shape everything. When we rewire old programming, we free ourselves to live with joy, ease, and authenticity.

What I Want the World to Know

I want people to know that healing is possible. That the patterns keeping you stuck are not who you truly are. That you can rewrite your story, reclaim your voice, and step into a life where you feel deeply free, empowered, and fully expressed. That’s the work I do—and it’s the work I live every day.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Ultimate Week of Adventure, Play & Soul-Nourishment

If my best friend came to visit, I’d make sure it was an unforgettable mix of adventure, relaxation, deep connection, and pure joy. I’d set up a week filled with surprises, time in nature, incredible food, movement, music, bodywork, and play. Every day would be a mix of magic, presence, and spontaneity, making it feel deeply alive and fully expressed.

Essentially, I would make it like a retreat, having each day being the best combination of fun, nourishment and rejuvenation. Here are a few days of what I planned and I don’t particularly need to go to anywhere specific except it’s really just super intuitive and giving her lots of choices. Here are the first 3 days together:

🌟Day 1-
I would take her straight to one of my favorite hidden nature spots which I would decide same day —a peaceful sanctuary where we can lay in the grass, dip our feet in the water, and share a picnic filled with nourishing homemade food (think fresh fruit, sprouted bread, homemade dips, and herbal teas).
🌊 Sunset Beach Hangout & Bonfire – As the sun sets, we’d head to the beach, dance barefoot in the sand, and set up a cozy bonfire where we can talk about life, sing, and soak in the beauty of the ocean.
🌙 Intuitive Night Ritual – Before bed, I’d set up a little candle-lit space with cozy blankets where we could pull oracle cards, journal, and set intentions for the trip.

🔥 Day 2: Play, Movement & Adventure

🏄‍♀️ Morning Paddleboarding / Kayaking – We’d start the day on the water, feeling the sun on our skin as we glide across the waves, laughing and playing like kids.
🎭 Embodied Expression & Playful Games – Next, I’d surprise her with a fun improv-style embodiment session—a mix of movement, sound, and playful games to break open self-expression and tap into our wild, free sides.
🍽️ Cook Together & Make an Epic Meal – We’d head to a farmer’s market, pick out the freshest ingredients, and cook a colorful, delicious feast together, dancing in the kitchen as we go.

💃 Day 3: Dance, Sound & Sensory Awakening

🌬️ Breathwork & Somatic Release Session – We’d start the day with a powerful breathwork journey to release stored energy and awaken deep connection.
💃 Freeform Dance & Sound Healing – Then, I’d take them to an open dance space where we could move, shake, and fully let go, followed by a deeply relaxing sound bath with crystal bowls.
🍹 Beachfront Dinner & Live Music – We’d head to a beachside restaurant, sip fresh coconut water (or fun mocktails), and enjoy live music under the stars.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my mother, who deeply shaped the way I see and support others. She taught me so much about understanding people beyond their words—especially children, those who struggle to express themselves, and those carrying emotions they don’t yet have the tools to process.

My mother had a gift for tuning into people’s needs, seeing beyond behavior to what was really happening inside. Growing up, I absorbed this from her—it became the foundation of how I work with families today. She showed me that true connection comes from presence, patience, and deep listening, not just to what is said but to what is unspoken.

She passed away from cancer when I was just 21, but her wisdom and love live on in the work I do every day. Her legacy is woven into every interaction, every healing moment, and every time I help a child or parent feel truly seen. This is for her. ❤️
