We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Valdes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natalie, what do you want people to remember about you?
I would love for people to remember my good vibes, and how i made them feel. I want people to remember that I was a part of a big day or event in their life that they chose me to help get them ready for by doing their makeup and hair. I want to be known as someone who is always good to work with and for, reliable, professional, fun and talented at my craft.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I feel that one thing that sets me apart from others is my personality. I feel that I am a blessed to connect with such amazing clients who trust in my art and allow me to make them more beautiful. In turn it’s not a job to me, it’s a passion and that helps me succeed in my life socially and professionally and attributed to my success. It was not always easy there have been times where I have second guessed myself but I continue to push on and learn as much as I can to be the best I can. I want the world to know I love what I do and it shows in my work. It’s what I am meant to do in this life and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend come visit being that I am Cuban, I would start by taking them to eat at Versalles and show them some good Cuban food. I would show them places in Brickell, Wynwood and Doral which is where I reside. Definitely take my guest for some drinks and amazing music by all of the amazing DJs Miami has and dance the night away.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to recognize the group of amazing women who I have worked along side of in this field. The ones who have helped me grow as an artist and were patient with me and always saw my potential.
