We had the good fortune of connecting with Natasha Londono and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natasha, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Yes, “Life should not only be lived, it should be celebrated” by Osho. This quote inspires me to appreciate life’s special moments as little miracles, to check in with myself and the pace at which I’m living life, it reminds me to remain present and most of all to acknowledge and celebrate the relationships and milestones that matter to me. It is a quote that Rumbita lives by. It is simple, powerful, and true to me and my brand.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career started off in graphic design and communications. Life and career opportunities led me to the client-side where I realized I enjoyed marketing even more. As I stepped into this role, large events became part of my responsibility. I’m proud to transform over-the-top concepts into successful and impactful events. This is why Rumbita is a bit of an ironic venture for me. Although I love planning massive events, I truly believe celebrating in any shape, size or form is truly what matters, even if the guest list is a party of one 🙂

Rumbita is my 5th entrepreneurial project. I struggled in the past with starting, deciding and juggling my 9-5 and 5-9. For a long time, I went back and forth from wanting to have a business that offers a service to one that sells a product. Until I realized that what I really wanted was to create a brand that makes a difference. I needed to go through these slopes to get to where I am today. My experience with past businesses I’ve launched has allowed me to gain more traction with this one. The biggest difference has been that running Rumbita feels natural to me, an extension of my lifestyle. Although it’s been lots of hard work and late nights, I’ve enjoyed every bit of it, even the growing pains.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

– Key West
– Schnebly’s Winery
– Everglades
– Coconut Grove
– Miracle Mile
– Casa Florida
– Terras Rooftop
– Citadel
– Faena Theatre
– Mini theatre
– Lost Boy
– Brightline ride to FLL
– Boardwalk
– Walk the key Biscayne bridge

Hopefully there will be events going on like the Coconut Grove Art Festival or Food & Wine!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

SO many to list, but here are a few:

My mother. She is my biggest cheerleader, nothing is too small for me and I’m never “too old” to begin chasing new dreams. I’m very grateful for this type of support.

An old boss. He was selfless and proactive about supporting his teams development and growth. He reminds me how important it is to give back professionally. We’ve stayed in touch for the last 7 years.

Oprah (the GOAT). She is insightful, full of wisdom, and comes from a tough past, which inspires me so much.

The latest book I read was “Belong” by Radha Agrawal. I was so inspired by the power of community, her impact on society, and the culture-shifting movement(s) she is behind. I’m very excited to build this type of space for the Rumbita community.
