Meet Nate Smith | Fitness & Lifestyle Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nate Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nate, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
A few years ago, I hit a breaking point. I was constantly partying, drinking, and distracting myself from the reality that I wasn’t happy with the life I was living. I looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize the person staring back at me—physically, mentally, or spiritually. I felt lost, stuck, and disconnected from who I truly was.
The turning point came when I made a conscious decision to change my environment and start surrounding myself with like-minded individuals—people who were focused on growth, discipline, and becoming the best version of themselves. That shift changed everything. I started rebuilding my life from the inside out—through fitness, structure, and showing up daily for myself, even when it was hard. But most importantly, I started building my relationship with God. I stopped trying to carry everything on my own and put my faith in Him to guide me through the process.
Eventually, I took a major leap of faith and moved from Charlotte, NC, to Miami. I didn’t have everything figured out, but I knew I couldn’t stay where I was—physically or spiritually. That move was risky, but I believed in myself, and more importantly, I trusted that God had a bigger plan for my life. I stepped into the unknown with confidence that I was being led for a greater purpose.
Starting my business wasn’t just about helping people get fit—it was about helping them experience real transformation, the way I did. Mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual. I built this to be more than a coaching program. It’s a blueprint for people to take back control of their lives, step into who they’re meant to be, and live with purpose, clarity, and confidence.
This business is a product of faith, obedience, and the decision to turn my pain into purpose. And now I help others do the same.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is more than just a fitness program. It’s a complete lifestyle transformation experience. I help both men and women reclaim their confidence, build discipline, and create lasting change—not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. What sets me apart is that I’ve lived this journey. I didn’t create my program from a textbook—I built it through real life, through pain, through growth, and through God’s grace. I was the person who felt lost, stuck, and disconnected from purpose. Fitness and faith became the foundation that helped me rebuild from the inside out.
At one point, I made a bold move—I left Charlotte, North Carolina, and moved to Miami. I didn’t have a detailed plan, but I had faith. I believed in myself, and more importantly, I trusted in God’s vision for my life. That move was a defining moment. It was me betting on myself, stepping outside of my comfort zone, and walking into the unknown with full faith that it would all work out. And it did—because I stayed obedient, stayed disciplined, and refused to quit.
Building this business wasn’t easy. There were plenty of setbacks—financial struggles, self-doubt, and moments where I questioned everything. But I kept showing up. Through it all, I learned some of the most important lessons that now guide everything I teach:
1. Choose to be the victor, not the victim.
Life is going to challenge you. You can either feel sorry for yourself and stay stuck in your circumstances, or you can rise above them and fight for the life you want. That mindset shift changed everything for me. I stopped blaming the world and started taking full ownership for who I wanted to become.
2. Consistency over perfection.
You won’t be perfect every day. There will be days where you feel off, where your energy is low, or your motivation isn’t there. But progress doesn’t require perfection—it requires showing up, over and over again. Consistency compounds, and it’s the daily effort that creates real, lasting change.
3. Give 100% of whatever you’ve got.
If you feel 50% today, give 100% of that 50%. Not every day will be your best, but the effort still matters. That mindset has helped me and my clients stay grounded and disciplined through every season—because it’s not about being flawless, it’s about being faithful with what you have.
Today, I’m proud of what I’ve built—but even more proud of the lives this program has impacted. My clients aren’t just building better bodies—they’re building better habits, stronger minds, deeper purpose, and higher standards for how they live. That’s what excites me the most. This is more than fitness. It’s about helping people become who they were created to be.
What I want the world to know is this: My brand is built on faith, discipline, and purpose. I’m here to help people stop settling, start leading themselves with intention, and live a life they’re proud of. I believe in full transformation—from the inside out—and I’m here to walk that journey with anyone ready to make the change.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Miami for the week, I’d make sure they experienced everything that makes this city special—from intense workouts and clean food to rooftop vibes, beach runs, and the best local eats. Miami’s got a little bit of everything, and I’d want them to feel the rhythm of it all.
Day 1 – Grounded & Locked In
We’d start the trip with a lift at Omega Fitness, my home base for training. Afterwards, we’d go for a light beach run along Miami Beach or hit the Brickell/Bayside loop to move, clear the head, and get dialed in. For recovery, we’d grab an acai bowl from either Oakberry or Pura Vida—clean, fresh, and packed with fuel.
Day 2 – Local Flavor
After another morning workout or run, we’d hit up one of my favorite local spots—Vinny’s Italian Food Truck. Easily the best Italian sandwiches in Miami, and the vibe is always right. After that, we’d hang around the Midtown area. Dinner would be a full experience at COTE—best steak in the city, period.
Day 3 – Sushi & Rooftop Vibes
We’d start the day light—maybe stretching at the beach or a casual morning run. For lunch or dinner, I’m taking them to one of my favorite sushi spots: Uchi, Paperfish, or Toykyo Tuna. They all never miss. We’d wrap up the day with rooftop views and a chill night at Sugar or Rosa Sky—beautiful atmosphere, good drinks, and perfect for catching up.
Day 4 – Explore & Eat Good
We’d take it easy midweek with a visit to Design District or Bayfront Park to relax, shop, or just enjoy Miami’s slower side. At night, we’d grab dinner at El Toro Loco—perfect mix of casual and quality, especially if you’re craving something bold and satisfying.
Day 5 – Surfside Reset
We’d head out for a day trip to Surfside—one of my favorite low-key spots to unwind. If it’s the weekend, we’d hit the Surfside Farmers Market for local goods and fresh finds. Maybe walk the beach, grab something light to eat, and just enjoy the quiet energy for a reset.
Day 6 – Classy Night Out
Morning training session at Omega or a beach run to get the energy right, then we’d get ready for a classy Miami night. Dinner somewhere clean and elevated, and then finish strong with drinks and views at Sugar or Rosa Sky again—two of the best rooftop spots in the city. Great music, great atmosphere, and just an unforgettable vibe.
Day 7 – Reflect & Recharge
Final day would be all about slowing down and ending on a high note. Sunrise walk or jog on Miami Beach, then breakfast at Greenstreet Café or The Local House. Rest of the day would be for relaxing—maybe poolside, maybe the beach, just soaking it all in and being present.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
None of this would’ve been possible without the people and influences God placed in my life at the right time. First and foremost, I give all glory to God—He gave me the strength, clarity, and grace to keep going when I felt lost, and He continues to guide me every step of the way.
I have to give a huge shoutout to my beautiful mom—she’s my queen and the heart of our family. My dad, who I always say is my twin, has been one of my biggest inspirations and role models. And my brother, Lil David—he’s my best friend and someone who’s always been in my corner, no matter what.
I’m also incredibly grateful for the close friends I consider brothers. Their support, loyalty, and belief in me through every phase of my journey have meant more than words can explain.
At the end of the day, this path I’m on hasn’t been walked alone. It’s been guided by faith and surrounded by love—and I’m forever thankful for every single person who’s been part of that.
