Meet Nathalie Garcia

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nathalie Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nathalie, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my business is God. Waking up everyday and praying over my business and asking God to guide me wherever he needs me to go. I even pray before I accept new clients or job opportunities because I never know what God truly wants for me; it doesn’t matter how much money I could potentially make from a job— if God said “no” then the answer is “no”. And the other biggest factor is family. We are a small family business and without the support of my family we would have never made it as far as we have— especially my husband that is my forever partner in everything.

What should our readers know about your business?
Balloons a few years ago were just seen as party props and no one would have ever imagined it would turn into what it is today. When I started my business I heard “it’s just balloons” so many times when we would give pricing and the “it’s just balloons” eventually turned into “it’s not a party without balloons”. Balloons are so much more than just balloons they are art that create memories. We help curate memories for our clients that they will never forget.
It wasn’t easy to get to this point. I used to work full time and sneak off to the bathroom to be able to answer my clients messages. I never thought I’d see the day where that wouldn’t be a necessity. When our business grew we then didn’t have space to store balloons and supplies and my parents converted their second room into my office— which I will be forever grateful for.
The biggest thing for me was that I came from nothing. My family was poor. My mom was a single mom. I couldn’t pay for school and in the midst of all that I made something I am so proud of. You never know what God has for you and this was never what I imagined that I would be doing when I graduated with a 4.0; but God’s plan was so much better than my own. I could never imagine doing anything else. You have so much peace when you do something you love. And for any one thinking about starting your own business, I say take the plunge; just make sure it’s something you absolutely love because it will take over your whole life. Your business becomes such a big part of who you are.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area I would first take them to cozy corner in Miami springs— if you haven’t tried it you should. It family owned and so cozy.
We would definitely have to visit the science museum which I absolutely love.
And the beach! We love a piña colada— virgin because my husband and I are trying to grow our family, by the beach. There’s a little bar there that serves them in a pineapple and they are fantastic.
I’d take them to this little Italian restaurant we love called La Trattoria Del Pampered Chef which is also a small family owned restaurant that is full of charm and warmth and we would spend our nights playing board games and chatting.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband Anthony who never says no to any of my crazy ideas and my mother in law who is the owner of Crownszitacardin events without her none of this would have ever been possible. She planted the seed that made my business what it is today.
