Meet Navneet Kaur | Interior Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Navneet Kaur and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Navneet, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
There were two big things that drew me to interior design. The first was this creative itch I’ve always had. Even as a kid, I was rearranging furniture in my room, doodling floor plans, and obsessed with decorating magazines. I just loved figuring out how to use space and design elements to create a certain feeling or mood.
The other side of the coin is that I’m fascinated by how design can impact people’s lives. A well-designed space can make you feel happy, productive, or relaxed. I love taking a raw space and using my creativity to transform it into something that reflects the personality and needs of my clients. It’s a challenge, but it’s also incredibly rewarding to see how my work can improve someone’s day-to-day experience in their own home.

What should our readers know about your business?
As an interior designer, I pour my heart into crafting spaces that are not just beautiful, but functional and reflective of the people who live in them. What truly sets me apart is my commitment to understanding my clients’ personalities, lifestyles, and dreams. It’s more than just picking paint colors and furniture – it’s about creating a haven that sparks joy and inspires them every day.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the look on a client’s face when they walk into their finished space for the first time. Seeing their vision come to life, a space that feels uniquely theirs, is incredibly rewarding. I’m also excited about the growing trend towards sustainable design. There are so many innovative ways to create beautiful interiors with a conscience for the environment, and I love incorporating those elements into my projects.
Getting here wasn’t easy. It took a lot of hard work, late nights, and dedication. There were challenges, like securing those initial clients and establishing myself in a competitive field. But I persevered by focusing on what I loved: design. I networked relentlessly, built a strong portfolio, and most importantly, delivered exceptional service on every project.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is the importance of listening. Every client is different, and truly understanding their needs is paramount to creating a successful space. I’ve also learned that there’s always room to grow. I constantly educate myself on new design trends, materials, and technologies to ensure my clients get the best possible outcome.
What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s about more than just aesthetics. It’s about creating a space that tells a story, a space that uplifts and inspires. I believe everyone deserves a beautiful and functional home, and I’m here to help them achieve it.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! In this industry, success is definitely a team effort. So, for my shoutout, I want to acknowledge a few people who have been instrumental in my journey:
My Early Mentors: A huge shoutout to the incredible design professors I had in college. They pushed me creatively, challenged my technical skills, and instilled in me a deep appreciation for the history and theory of design. Their guidance during those formative years truly shaped my foundation.
My Fellow Designers: There’s no substitute for the camaraderie and knowledge-sharing within the design community. Whether it’s brainstorming sessions with the team, collaborating on projects, or simply bouncing ideas off each other at industry events, the support and inspiration I’ve received from the team has been invaluable.
My Clients: This one might seem obvious, but it’s true! My clients entrust me with creating their dream spaces, and that’s a privilege I never take for granted. Their trust, vision, and willingness to collaborate are what make this job so fulfilling.
Books and Magazines: Shoutout to the endless flow of design inspiration I get from books and magazines. From historical design movements to cutting-edge trends, these resources keep me informed and constantly learning.
Really, this whole shoutout could be dedicated to the entire design world – it’s a constant source of inspiration, education, and collaboration. Every project is a new opportunity to grow, and I’m so grateful for the incredible people and resources that have helped me get to where I am today.
