We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Eichenwald Braghin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
For us success is all about happiness and balance. We are as strategic in choosing our clients as they are in choosing us. Planning and producing an event, especially a wedding is a lot about the relationship and understating all parties involved, their wants needs and their personalities. Knowing how to say no to a client that would not be a good fit personality wise is as important as known how to say yes. We know our strengths as well as our limitations and we use that to find our balance which in turn brings us much happiness and in turn success!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Sixteen years ago I decided to embark in the world of events. It is a delicious and crazy roller coaster ride. Plan Design Events is different because we take care of the entire event, in order to create an experience. From planning, to design and execution of the entire production, we are a one stop shop for bespoke luxury events. Events are seasonal and so we need to plan ahead to make sure we have enough events to cover the year but not so many that would lower our quality or standards. We like to treat each event as the only one and make the client feel that love. That is why balance is very important. Our brand is synonymous with quality because we care about every single minuscule detail from the flowers, to the napkins, to what song is playing when dinner is being served and how the lighting complements that moment in the story, but most of all the quality of our service. We strive to be better at every event and to learn from each client.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would start with dinner at my house for sure. Arianna, my business partner and I love to cook together and there is no better conversation than the ones at home with a meal filled with love. I would take her to the beach at Faena and then their spa which is amazing followed by a casual dinner at Omakai. Day 2 rent a boat and just relax with a couple of friends and great music. Day 3 a barbecue at home in the pool so we can catch up without all the noise. Day 4 a nice bike ride, lunch at Mandollin and dinner at Hiyakawa and maybe some Karaoke. Day 5 Fairchild gardens with a picnic and dinner at Swan. Day 6 beach again and possibly spa again at Standard or Faena. Faena bar for some great music and dinner at Pao. Last day… So sad but probably just hanging out at home again and having dinner with close friends, great food and amazing wine…

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband Fernando and my two children Sophia 12 and Isabella 8 are my rocks and my reason for everything. Every day I try to be better form them and create things they will be proud off. When someone asks Sophia what I do for a living she says: My mom makes peoples dreams come true. That is why I do what I do…
