We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Mayne and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I’ve always been career focused and since becoming a mom, it’s shown me how to compartmentalize. I’ve been able to master separating my professional life from my personal/family life. It hasn’t been an easy feat as it started out challenging but now I’m able to streamline my priorities in both aspects of my life. My job is very demanding but once I get home, I’m wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend. Being a mom has allowed me to live a second childhood through my daughter’s eyes. Moreover, it has given me the opportunity to keep my inner child nourished and happy. I find that I excel in my professional life when I have that balance.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Leasing luxe apartments in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Transitioning people from different states to one of the most coveted cities in the country and just the process of the transition, I find fulfilling. I wholeheartedly enjoy interacting with people and hearing their stories as to why they are relocating whether it’s job related or simply a lifestyle change. To which I find intriguing and humbling to be a part of that life changing story. Majority of my residents make the move without even taking a tour of the property or their apartment. So creating that safe space for them to trust the information I provide to them is important to me. My mantra is, the customer experience is always paramount. While it may not be easy at times as unforeseen circumstances do occur during the process. Overcoming those challenges contributes to your growth and development as a professional. My experience in the customer service industry has undoubtedly allowed me to amass a wealth of knowledge in the areas of customer service provision and satisfaction. Customer service is a craft that should be honed, especially in an ever evolving industry such as property management.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, for always being my biggest cheerleader and giving me alternate perspectives on how to view things. My village of family and friends that continuously encourage me to thrive professionally and flourish personally, I appreciate them immensely!
