We had the good fortune of connecting with Nish B. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nish, is there something you believe many others might not?
“Hard work is the most important key to success.” I personally believe that working hard is a scam and it often leaves us feeling burnt out. Going into 2022 my motto is “Work smarter, not harder.” This is especially important for new business owners because a lot of times we can get consumed with handling everything ourselves when we don’t have to. No matter how new your business is, it’s never too early to hire a team. Delegating and working smarter are some of the most important keys to success.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the owner of a clothing line called Louverän, a women’s clothing line for those who are always on-the-go. We launched this past July and the journey has been a fun one filled with many long nights and bumps in the road that are often met with Google searches. As someone who is equally passionate about television production, tech, creative marketing and fashion I wanted to create a brand that encompasses all of these things. With the plans that I have in mind for Louverän, our marketing will be the thing that continues to set us apart from others. Before our launch I personally did not see too many small brands creating entire commercials for their businesses so I wanted to do something unique for our launch. It definitely captured the attention of thousands on social media. Video marketing has always been powerful tool and that has been proven with all of the new video features on Instagram and the meteoric rise of Tik-Tok.

As a business owner I am most proud of gaining the courage to be vulnerable and put myself out there. As someone who grew up being very shy, almost to a fault, being an entrepreneur and creative producer has forced me to constantly step out of my shell and stay out. As the head of business (or the head of production if I am on set) I often serve as the point of contact and problem solver. It is imperative that I remain knowledgeable about what’s going on but also confident about speaking up and making decisions that’ll serve my models, cast, and crew members.

Time management, discipline, and prayer are key when being an entrepreneur. Most new business owners still work full-time jobs so divvying up our time in a way allows enough room for work, play, and rest is paramount. This also goes back to delegating and hiring a team if necessary. Discipline comes into play the most when I am not feeling motivated and inspired to get my tasks done. But I’ve come to realize that is when my business needs me the most. My advice is to push through if you can but if you have to, take the rest of the day off and come back the next day with a clear mind. And I do this all while putting God first. My savior.

Louverän is also for women who get called extra when wanting to wear a fur cardigan to Target. And for those who simply do not need a reason to be overdressed, because that in itself is an understatement. The goal is to offer pieces of clothing in almost every category because as women we need options, and lots of them. Get ready to see Louverän everywhere in in 2022! We are currently in the process of expanding and bringing on new members and that process will be complete after the new year. And after that we will be hitting the ground running! I am excited to witness our growth.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As someone who grew up in South Florida, I love everything about the beaches! Literally all of them; Hallandale, Ft. Lauderdale, and South Beach. I would personally take my friends to a restaurant called “Juniper on the Water.” Their brunch menu is to die for, especially their Lobster Eggs Benedict and Fried Calamari. Top that off with bottomless mimosas and the rest will be history. Midtown Miami has definitely become one of my go-to neighborhoods because I can get my dining and shopping on at the same time while enjoying the beautiful weather Miami has to offer all year-round. And luckily it’s down the street from the Art District in Wynwood, where you’re bound to see the most interesting people and events in town.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Without my support system I am nothing. Since a little girl my mother and grandmother have always supported my dreams of pursuing a creative career. They always remind me that my goals are never too big and that I can do whatever it is I want in this life. Special shout out to my sorority sisters for always cheering me on and supporting my achievements. They have been here since my college days at the University of Florida and have seen me grow up from a girl with a vision to a grown woman who is not afraid to execute. I would also like to thank one of my best friends Alexis Sadé for always pouring into my cup and being by my side as we navigate the entertainment world together. Last but not least I want to send a thank you to my classmates turned friends at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) – Atlanta. Those are some of the most brilliant and innovative individuals I have come across and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for all of us.
