We had the good fortune of connecting with Noah Pantaleon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noah, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
This is a great question, especially in the times we are living in. I believe in balance. Mind, body, and soul. This can’t be achieved without a work/life balance. Pre pandemic, I was a workaholic. Whatever needed to get done, I was willing and ready to give more. Many times, sleep, food, exercise, and self-care would be set aside, if I needed to meet a deadline or teach an extra class. This is what I thought “high performance living” was. During quarantine, I had an opportunity to re-evaluate what balance means to me. At Equinox, we have a 3-tier philosophy that fuels “high performance living”. MNR represents Movement, Nutrition and Regeneration. The big missing piece for me was regeneration. Once I made sleep and recovery a priority, my body started to change, and my stress level went down. I felt better in general, and my performance at home and work improved.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I was a realtor and mortgage broker for 15 years and was miserable at it. I’m a salesperson. I have a natural ability to draw people in and create connection and relationships. I knew I was in the wrong career, but I was scared to make a change. In 2005 after the Real Estate market took a hit, I decided to get out. While I was trying to figure out my next move, my dear friend Patricia Sedano asked me to help with her Huntington Learning Center. She needed a Managing Director. I reluctantly took the position. In the 3 years I was there, I discovered I was also a teacher. I didn’t want to be an educator, per se – but I wanted to share knowledge and inspire. After much soul searching, I decided to get my Personal Training Certification. It was a big risk, at 40 years old — but I was passionate about fitness. I knew there would be challenges, but I believed it was possible. I started out training some of the teachers at the center and slowly I built a network of clients. Fast forward, almost 10 years later and I’ve built a solid career in the Fitness Industry. I started as a Group Fitness Instructor at Equinox and Orange Theory. With hard work, perseverance, and dedication I was hired as the Group Fitness Manager at Equinox Coral Gables and thriving there since 2015. I am also an ON-Running Ambassador since 2020. This has been one of my favorite accomplishments.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Palm Beach, and work in Miami. One of my favorite spots in South Miami for a casual lunch is Whisk or Shahs of Kabob. They make the BEST food. Lincoln Road, Key Biscayne and taking a walk through Wynwood is a must. In Palm Beach, I would say — go eat at The Pelican in Downtown Lake Worth. It’s a hole in the wall dive with the BEST Indian breakfast and less than a mile from the beach.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Jill Rapperport is my Shaman and one of my life coaches. She taught me how to meditate and create self care rituals that keep me grounded.
