We had the good fortune of connecting with Omar Alonzzo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Omar, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The concept of success is different for everyone. Mainly because each person looks towards achieving different goals in their life. My personal success is rooted in a commitment to excellence.

As for my brands, success truly comes from helping create for others and it really is the most valuable part of the process. For each client, my team and I have a shared goal of creating a successful brand with the collaboration of a mutual vision. I have an amazing team that works seamlessly to execute of all aspects of my customer’s needs. Helping others be successful is my true measure of success.

What should our readers know about your business?

I launched Fuxion Creative, my advertising agency in 2014. I had a passion and talent for developing brands and helping them scale within a marketplace with creative and marketing solutions.

Coming from Venezuela, launching a business in a country with great political turmoil and many restrictions. The overwhelming harassment, panic, and fear in Venezuela where I was at risk was a challenge I had to overcome.

It however gave me a strong appreciation for the opportunities available to an entrepreneur like myself here in the United States.

If I am being honest though it was absolutely terrifying to start over in the United States. But the challenges I have endured there have only fueled my hunger to overcome adversity and attain my goals. I used the fear of failure to drive me to be the best version of myself.

I’m now introducing Waffles Factory here in the Miami market, my start-up business, which I launched in 2020 during the pandemic in Venezuela. Now that I am based in Miami, I can’t wait for the people in my community to try our sweet bites. Waffles Factory is now available by catering and delivery in Miami and Caracas.

I strive to work harder each day to develop each of the 2 businesses and I do it filled with passion.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A perfect day would be:

I’m very active and enjoy the outdoors so after a morning walk through my neighborhood, then venture over to the beach and enjoy the natural beauty of the South Florida coastline.

Later in the day enjoy a delicious meal at Icon Mediterranean in Wynwood or any rooftop venue.

Finally, wrap up the day out on a boat to really enjoy the nighttime city views and skyline.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t necessarily give credit to a sole person, but rather the adversity I have faced, the people who didn’t necessarily believe in me, etc. All of this drove me to follow my passion and in the end my success.

Sometimes people don’t mnt see the positive outcome of challenges or negative events. Sometimes those events guide us in another direction, towards different goals, and self-empowerment.

It’s cyclical and it is important to strive to find balance between each situation. In turn, identify the challenge, works towards a solution, gain knowledge, and evolve.
