We had the good fortune of connecting with On-Tour Bar OTB and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi On-Tour Bar, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
An artistic or creative career is something most people choose right away per say, in a lot of cases it comes to you, and then you’d have to make the decision of sticking with it.
The possibilities are endless. What’s truly unique about creating something is that there won’t be any other like it. It’s one of a kind. Creativity can be interpreted in an infinite amount of ways, its just like art. Not everyone will see or feel the same.
.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’d say what sets us apart is simply caring, always caring. It’s 70% less work for us buy pre-made mixers, garnishes then it is to buy everything fresh and make it homemade. However, if you were to compare both types of drinks, there is a huge difference. It’s taking the extra step to make it as perfect as possible. Nothing successful is really easy, if not everyone would be doing it. We overcome challenges as they come, learn from them, and find the best solution possible with a clear head. Mostly everything has a solution, just have to find the right one. I’d say the biggest lesson we’ve learned is to never give up no matter how many screw ups there is along the way. If there is one thing we’d like for people to know about our brand is just how happy we are to be doing what we are doing. What we are the proudest of is our creativity, weather it’s the design of our mobile bar, the unique cocktails, or our ability to bring our clients vision to life in their event.
.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d say, 5 Star Restaurants, Joe’s Stone Crab is a must. Red Steakhouse is also phenomenal. If we were to go have crafty cocktails, Spanglish in Wynwood is definitely a great spot. If were looking just to eat great food Shadow Wagyu in Coral Gables has one of the best meats we’ve ever had, and the owner is amazing! Last but not least, one of the most legendary Dive Bars in Miami, Teds Hideaway in Miami Beach, the locals there are one of a kind, you’ll walk out of there with 3 new great friends. I’d also go check out the Key Biscayne bridge and beach.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
.We’d like to dedicate this to all of our family, friends, fellow industry people who are constantly cheering us on, complimenting us and providing feedback. It means the world and it is what keeps us going!
