We had the good fortune of connecting with Orlinne Molme and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Orlinne, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The principle of hard work and dedication matters to me. I’ve watched my parents consistently work hard and remained dedicated to providing for me and the family, especially my mother. From her working two-three jobs when I was in college to creating her own business on the side while still being active in her church community, that right there is dedication and hard work.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am both an occupational therapist and a realtor. I pride myself in saying that I am both because it really puts me in a unique position to serve my clients. In real estate, I use a client centered approach in order to help my clients understand their goals, understand the home buying process and making these two come together.
I am truly excited about the future of real estate and home ownership. I believe that everyone deserves a chance to be a homeowner and deserves to have their basic needs of housing met for security, safety and the feeling of dignity.
I can definitely say that the journey hasn’t been easy nor is it done. Life is a journey and every chapter we create is a new one filled with our life experiences. I could literally write a book about my life, but that’s for another day lol. I overcome my challenges through my faith in God & prayer. Focusing on my higher power keeps me sane with all of the challenges I face on a daily basis.
As a fun, quirky and elegant young woman, I’ve learned that you shouldn’t stop living because of certain circumstances that come our way. As my mother always said “don’t worry, be happy.” In other words, Let the past remain in the past and let’s take care of today. Let bygones be bygones, and let’s make today a great day! Worrying gets us nowhere, but attitude makes a difference in where we go in life.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
FORT LAUDERDALE of course!
The greater Fort Lauderdale area is underrated. People always think of Miami when it comes to fun in Florida, but I beg to differ. I’d take my friend to Pompano Beach for a fun, morning swim, then have brunch at Yot Bar and Kitchen, ride the water taxi and end the day with shopping and dining at Sawgrass Mills Mall. The rest of the week, we’ll be exploring the Museum of Discovery and Science, taking helicopter rides to (AM/PM) to get an overview of both Fort Lauderdale and Miami (yes I said Miami), shopping in both Miami and Broward, plunging in the Las Olas nightlife and participating in weekend activities likes Smorgasburg/Wynwood (Miami) and A Jungle Queen cruise of course! So even though I said Fort Lauderdale, I must admit that Broward and Dade work together as a unit to provide great experiences for all visitors to the Greater Fort Lauderdale area.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate this to my parents. They have really been my backbone throughout life. Their faith, prayers and love have really helped to mold me into the women nI am today.
