We had the good fortune of connecting with Paola Arias and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paola, what do you attribute your success to?
I think information is key. It gives you the tools to craft your brand and argument when presenting your unique proposition. In my case, I specialized in Branding and it amazes me how much we can apply to our personal brand. I am also certified in Personal Image and Etiquette being both great additions to our value.
I aim to be prepared when opportunity knocks!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

When I started my career, I was not afraid of job interviews. I got excited every time I got one. I think everyone should practice interviewing. Even if you do not want to change companies, you are always interviewing for your position -especially when mergers occur, changes in the organization happen or you have a new boss. Always have your resume ready for the next opportunity to move up!

Besides my native language (Spanish), I speak four other languages that have helped me communicate and build great relationships with colleagues and clients. I believe in the power of talking to a person in their native language. Even a simple greeting makes a big impact when traveling and meeting new people.

Also, having a broad range of interests helps to carry a conversation and connect with others.

Learning what makes someone unique is what led me to know more about personal branding, personal image and etiquette. I think it is important to think how we present ourselves to the world and how we want to be perceived. Etiquette helps us to live in community with respect for one another. This is what I cover in my podcasts on Neo Mujer USA.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had to take my best friend to one of my favorite places in Florida, I would take her to Palm Beach. It is my hangout place most of the weekends.

Stay: The Colony Palm Beach (it is a pink paradise)
Brunch; Taboo (such a legendary place)
Lunch: Renato’s (just like Italy)
Dinner: La Goulue (very French)
Drinks: Cafe L’Europe (live piano and great bar)
Sunday Brunch: The Breakers Hotel (sophisticated and glam)
Visit: The Flagler Museum, the beach
Shop: Worth Avenue

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
An important part of my support system is Neo Mujer USA. Each of the podcast creators have been great sisters in this journey of pushing content for Latinas in the USA and around the world. We aim that women achieve their highest unique potential while learning about themselves. The four of us support each other’s dreams and look for inspiration to keep us going!
